Furvaria is a furry convention in Marxheim, Germany, organized by Münchner Furs e.V. and held at the Land-Steakhaus Bürger in the Bavarian countryside. Built on Munich's furry community, which has been active since 2007, the association was formally established in 2019 and runs monthly furmeets, fursuit walks, and events across South Bavaria. They launched Furvaria as their flagship convention in 2025. The inaugural edition drew 177 attendees and raised EUR 2,770 for the Stiftung Ambulantes Kinderhospiz München, a foundation supporting families with terminally ill children in Bavaria since 2004. The venue doubles as a restaurant and hotel, providing on-site Bavarian dining and lodging alongside convention programming.
Furvaria has not yet announced dates, a theme, or a Guest of Honor for its 2027 edition. Its first two editions moved from November (2025) to June (2026), so the next date stays open until the organizers confirm it. Watch the official site and Furvaria's socials for the 2027 announcement.
Whenever it returns, expect the same formula: a four-day furry weekend run out of the family-owned Land-Steakhaus Bürger in the Bavarian countryside, with a Dealers' Den, Fursuit Lounge, panels, workshops, nightly Furdance parties, and an on-site charity drive.

The venue is located at Bayernstraße 16, 86688 Marxheim, in the Donau-Ries district of Bavaria. The nearest major train station is Donauwörth, served by ICE trains on the Munich-Nuremberg-Erfurt-Berlin-Hamburg line as well as regional services. From Donauwörth, Marxheim is a short drive. For those arriving by car, the rural location provides ample parking at the venue.

The Land-Steakhaus Bürger offers on-site hotel rooms in two buildings: the main house (Haupthaus) with 6 chalet-style rooms and a newer guest house (Gästehaus) with 8 modern rooms, accommodating around 25 guests total. Rooms feature climate control, underfloor heating, rainfall showers, boxspring beds, and WiFi, with select rooms including a private sauna. For the summer 2026 edition, a convention campsite is available on the venue grounds for tents and mobile homes. Furvaria also lists partner hotels on their official site for additional options.
Furvaria's second edition, branded "FURVARIA 2.0" with a "Retro Games" theme, ran June 11-14, 2026, expanding to four days from the debut's three. The Land-Steakhaus converted into a pixel-art "game world" with retro arcade cabinets, chiptune sets, and console tournaments alongside the Dealers' Den, Fursuit Lounge, panels, workshops, and nightly furdances. The convention raised EUR 3,156.48 for Tierheim Hamlar and the Tierschutzverein Donauwörth und Umgebung e.V., its local animal-welfare charity partner. Final attendance was not published (2025 drew 177).
The inaugural Furvaria, dubbed "FURVARIA ONE" as a nod to Bavaria's space program Bavaria One, drew 177 attendees to its moonbase-themed debut in November 2025. Programming included a fursuit theater play at the opening ceremony, a Dealers' Den, a Fursuit Lounge with custom-built drying racks and a repair station, Fursuit Games, karaoke, and nightly furdances. The event raised EUR 2,770 for the Stiftung Ambulantes Kinderhospiz München through a charity tombola, charity auction, and "Doodles for Charity" where artwork created during the convention was auctioned off.
