Lakeside Furs (LSF) 2027 is scheduled for Jul 4-11, 2027 at Karlingerhof am Achensee - Gruppenhaus & Ferienwohnungen.
The next Lakeside Furs runs from 4 to 11 July 2027 at the Karlingerhof am Achensee in Achenkirch, a seven-night alpine retreat for its usual small group of about 70 participants. The 2027 theme has not been announced yet. Early registration opens on 27 December 2026, and the organisers have already published dates for the year after as well: 9 to 16 July 2028.

Lakeside Furs 18 ran the Highlands edition from June 28 to July 5, 2026 at Karlingerhof am Achensee in Achenkirch, a Scottish-flavoured week by Lake Achensee. The official channel opened the con on June 29 and later shared a sunny fursuit walk in the surrounding hills. In keeping with the event's small, invite-style format, no attendance figure, charity total, or guest list was published.
Lakeside Furs 2025 hosted an intimate capacity crowd of 70 participants at Karlingerhof. The Western-themed retreat focused on relaxing outdoor activities and community bonding by the Achensee.
Lakeside Furs 16 ran from June 29 to July 6, 2024 at Chalet Bergerblick in Wald im Pinzgau with the theme Atlantis. The local stats dataset records 49 attendees, which fits the event's intentionally compact scale.

Dogs are capped at 3 total via a per-room compatibility flag in registration
Lakeside Furs is the only furry convention we have documented that treats dogs as a first-class registration line item. The booking form has a "Mit Hund" boolean, the platform enforces a hard ceiling of 3 dogs across the whole event (max 1 per attendee, more needs organiser sign-off), and each hostel room carries a carpet-vs-not flag so dog-bringing attendees only see dog-compatible rooms in the room picker. A 9-point dog rulebook covers leash mandates in public areas, a strict kitchen ban, an unattended-dog ban, owner liability for damage, and a microchipping recommendation. The programmed group hike is to Austria's tallest waterfall (380 m, three tiers)
The Krimml Waterfalls drop 380 metres across three tiers and are the tallest in Austria, and Lakeside Furs runs them as a programmed group hike, not an "if you feel like it" suggestion. The booking platform exposes hike metadata as structured fields (difficulty, length, duration, elevation gain in metres), and the route follows the Austrian Alpine Club's Wasserfallweg, which is toll-paid access open mid-April to end October. The 2025 alternative hike was a round-trip walk around Stausee Durlassboden, the warm reservoir the con also uses for its organised swim day-trip.
Kitchen-shift duty is opt-in at registration, a tracked field
Every overnight includes dinner and breakfast prepared on-site, and registration has an explicit "Ich will in der Küche helfen" checkbox - attendees pre-commit to kitchen-shift volunteer duty before they arrive, and the platform tracks who opted in. Pair this with the programmed indoor "Food Exchange" activity (attendees bring and swap home-country culinary specialties) and the result is a communal-kitchen camp format that is structurally rare across the camping-con cohort: Wild Nights employs a head chef, US tent cons leave attendees to self-cater, and hotel cons outsource catering entirely.
