Golden Leaves Con (GLC) is the defining furry convention in Hasliberg, Switzerland, and one of the most distinctive alpine events in Europe. Instead of a convention-center feel, it leans into mountain lodging, volunteer-run hospitality, and a strong autumn identity that has made it the country's last major public furry con standing.

2026: The Swiss Alpine Return

The official site now confirms that Golden Leaves Con will return on October 28 to November 1, 2026. While the 2026 theme has not been announced yet, the convention is still tied to its familiar C'est la Vie / Panorama Hotel setup in Hasliberg, a venue combination that has become central to the con's identity.

GLC works because it does not try to imitate the giant city events. It keeps the atmosphere closer to an alpine retreat with full meals, social spaces, mountain scenery, and signature traditions like the heated outdoor pool. That makes it especially appealing to attendees who want a destination con without losing a real convention program.

Getting There

• Flying: Zurich Airport (ZRH) is the easiest international arrival point for most overseas travelers.
• Rail: Switzerland's rail network is the real advantage here. Most routes run through Interlaken and onward toward the Hasliberg area.
• Mountain access: Final transit usually involves regional rail, bus, or arranged rides into the Hasliberg lodging area, so plan the last leg in advance.

• Main lodging cluster: GLC traditionally uses the Panorama Hotel plus the C'est la Vie guesthouse in Hasliberg.

2025: Konnichiwa

GLC 15 drew approximately 300 attendees for its Japanese-themed 'Konnichiwa' weekend. The convention celebrated its 15th iteration with cultural immersion and community panels in Switzerland.

2024: Toffee and the Argonauts

GLC14 ran from October 23-27, 2024 in Hasliberg with the theme Toffee and the Argonauts and drew 290 attendees, keeping Golden Leaves Con in the upper tier of German-speaking and Alpine furry events.
