GLC 15 drew 300 attendees for its Japanese-themed 'Konnichiwa' weekend. The convention celebrated its 15th iteration with cultural immersion and community panels in Switzerland.
GLC14 ran from October 23-27, 2024 in Hasliberg with the theme Toffee and the Argonauts and drew 290 attendees, keeping Golden Leaves Con in the upper tier of German-speaking and Alpine furry events.

Partner-linked lottery splits couples' odds in half
Since 2023 GLC has allocated its ~300 attendee spots through a lottery rather than first-come-first-served, a response to roughly 600 people signing up within minutes under the old system. The mechanic is tier-equal (group lodge and Hotel Panorama registrants compete in the same draw), but couples can link their registrations into a couple ticket: if either partner is drawn, the other is automatically included. The trade-off is published verbatim, "a couple ticket reduces both partners' individual chance of being drawn by half", and linking is permanent at draw time, with no post-draw partner add-ons. Partners must also pick the same room category and venue.
All meals included, cooked by a volunteer furry crew
Every Golden Leaves Con badge bundles all meals and drinks across the run, but the kitchen is staffed by a volunteer furry crew rather than the hotel's catering team. The model keeps GLC's signature communal-meal atmosphere intact and is structurally tied to the two-venue ladder (270 CHF C'est la Vie group lodge / 450 CHF Hotel Panorama, +40 CHF sponsor add-on), both prices include the same shared meal service. Peer Alpine cons that use commercial hotel catering cannot replicate this kitchen-as-community pattern.
Two-venue tier ladder with shared lottery odds
GLC sells lodging as a tier rather than a hotel choice, 270 CHF places you in the C'est la Vie group lodge, 450 CHF in the adjacent Hotel Panorama, with a +40 CHF sponsor add-on layered on either. Both venues compete in the same tier-equal lottery draw (since 2023), so picking Panorama does not improve odds, it only improves the room if drawn. Signature amenities, including a heated outdoor pool and the only German-language Swiss Pawpeteers production in the fandom, span both buildings.
