Eurofurence (EF) 2026 is scheduled for Aug 19-23, 2026 in Hamburg, Germany. The announced theme is Fantastic Furry Festival. Guest of honor information lists Animal Art Crimes. The charity partner is Seehundstation Friedrichskoog.
Eurofurence 30 runs August 19 to 23, 2026 at the CCH Congress Center Hamburg, and it doubles as the convention's 30th anniversary. The "Fantastic Furry Festival" theme frames the event as a desert festival, dressing the whole CCH in art installations and stages. Eurofurence takes over the entire convention center and works with a grid of 100 partner hotels across Hamburg to house attendees.
The Guests of Honour are Animal Art Crimes, a Denver street-art collective founded around 2020 whose members come from graffiti, illustration, and the furry fandom. Four artists represent the collective at EF30: Domino Twist, Kenket, No Fair, and WopboL, with programming built around live collaborative mural painting.
The 2026 charity is Seehundstation Friedrichskoog, a seal rescue station on the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast that rehabilitates orphaned and injured harbor seal pups. It is the first time Eurofurence has chosen a charity focused on aquatic wildlife.
Registration is open. The standard adult ticket starts at 180 EUR, and with the convention six weeks out both the early-bird and standard-price windows have passed, so new sign-ups now carry the late-registration fee. Eurofurence drew 6,712 attendees in 2025, its largest edition to date, so registering early is the safe move.

EF 2024 drew 5,241 attendees to Hamburg under the "Cyberpunk" theme. The event featured Iris as Guest of Honor and continued the convention's tradition of immersive themed programming.

The Estrel → CCH move
Eurofurence ran out of the Estrel Berlin from 2014 through 2022, where the hotel's scale (one of Europe's largest, with 1,125 rooms) let the convention live entirely under one roof: sleep, panels, dealers, and parties all in one building.
Two dance contests, two formats
Most cons run one dance competition. Eurofurence runs two, on deliberately different formats, and they're treated as separate flagship events on the schedule.
Publicly distanced from X/Twitter on values grounds
Eurofurence has publicly stepped away from X/Twitter citing platform-values incompatibility, a codified org stance rather than a quiet drift. The con runs its public presence on Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Vimeo, YouTube, and a dedicated iOS/Android convention app with scheduling, and the EF30 Dealers Den bans AI-generated artwork as a related editorial policy.
