Tropical Furry Islands (TFI) is a German furry holiday convention run by the association Verein zur Förderung anthropomorpher Kunst e.V. Until 2025 attendees stayed together in holiday houses next to the Tropical Islands dome near Berlin, with entry to the dome included. The organizer has announced that the event returns in 2027 at a new location and under a new name.
On 27 October 2026 the organizer wrote that TFI is coming back in 2027. The new location and the dates have not been announced yet, and the organizer is collecting ideas for the new name. There was no edition in 2026. Follow the Telegram announcement channel and the official website for the next announcement.
TFI is a holiday as much as a convention. Attendees book a bed in a shared holiday house and spend several days together, with parties, tours and an annual group photo. Attendees also run their own smaller events, such as themed room parties, BBQ gatherings and gaming sessions. At the Tropical Islands resort the ticket included entry to the dome and its spa area at any time of day. The organizer also handed out free ice cream and slush ice made from its own recipes.

The 2027 venue has not been announced. From 2023 to 2025 the event took place at the Tropical Islands resort, Tropical-Islands-Allee 1, 15910 Krausnick-Groß Wasserburg, in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. The organizer has said that it will not return to that resort, so check the announcement channel for the new location before you plan travel.
Accommodation is part of registration. For 2025 attendees booked a single bed in a house type of their choice and could form room shares with friends. The Amazonia houses next to the dome came in three types for four or six people, with kitchens and terraces, and the premium types had their own sauna. Ohana hotel rooms at the resort, with breakfast included, were also available. Expect a new setup at the 2027 venue.

TFI 2025 took place from 9 to 14 September, after the organizer added a day by moving the arrival day to Tuesday. The con fee was 15 EUR early bird and 30 EUR afterwards, plus accommodation. It was the last edition at the Tropical Islands resort.
The organizer announced the 2024 event as Episode 5, held from 4 to 8 September. The programme included a technical tour and a firehouse tour on Thursday and open-decks DJ sessions on Saturday.
In 2023 the core days were Thursday 31 August to Sunday 3 September, with optional extra days before and after. The schedule had a cheese fondue, a dome tour, firehouse tours, a Friday dance, the group photo and a BBQ night.
