Sponsor and Super Sponsor are mutually EXCLUSIVE - the convention says so outright - and both are upgrades on a base registration rather than tiers of their own, so the last two rows add to one of the first four. Residential rates are per person and already include three nights; extra nights on the Thursday or Tuesday cost 90, 110 or 130 depending on room type, and both people in a room must pick the same extra days. The convention itself warns that more than two day tickets costs more than the 100 Attending Only rate, so the day rate is only worth it for one or two days. A T-shirt alone is 15, and buying it alongside a sponsor upgrade gets you two shirts rather than a discount. Strictly 18+ on the first day of your attendance, and the legal name given at registration must match the photo ID you bring.

Scotiacon 2026 drew 2,335 attendees to Glasgow, nearly 40% more than the year before and a new convention record. The western-themed edition raised £16,000 for Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue, with Todd Aldrington as Guest of Honor. Demand ran hot enough that the Crowne Plaza sold out of rooms in under ten minutes when registration opened.
Scotiacon 2025 drew 1,681 attendees to the Crowne Plaza Glasgow, a new attendance record. The event raised £16,000 for Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue. Head of Medusa Creations served as Guest of Honor.
Scotiacon 2024 brought 1,170 attendees to Glasgow for its Prehistoric Panic! edition. The convention raised £22,500 for The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust, more than doubling the previous year's charity total.

Scotland's strictest press policy and what it means for attendees
Scotiacon publishes the most detailed media-access policy of any UK furry convention. Press requests must reach the Directors at least a month before the con, must clear a written confirmation, and even when granted carry hard rules: no media of any kind in the Dealers'' Den or either art auction, any attendee can object to being filmed and the objection has to be honoured on the spot, and any resulting article or segment must be about Scotiacon specifically, not B-roll for a broader fandom feature.
Crowne Plaza + Hilton Garden Inn, the riverside dual-venue setup
Scotiacon runs as a two-hotel convention on the Glasgow riverfront: the Crowne Plaza Glasgow is the main venue and the Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow sits a short walk along the Clyde, holding the overflow block when the Crowne Plaza fills.
Portfolio-based Dealers' Den and the no-side-hustle Assistant rule
Scotiacon vets the Dealers'' Den on a portfolio basis: applicants who don''t have public social links can email examples of their work and their registered furry name straight to the Den team. Dealer Assistants are explicitly not allowed to sell anything of their own: if an Assistant wants their work on a table they have to apply as a separate Dealer and arrange a formal share.
