The 300-registration cap has been reached, so new sign-ups join a WAITING LIST rather than buying a place. The two upper tiers are sold as ADD-ONS of 30 and 70 euro on top of the 350 base rather than as replacement prices; the figures above are what you actually pay. That 350 is not a badge price - it is full board at a holiday village, so comparing it against a hotel convention's badge understates what it covers by four nights and every meal. If you still want a place, the convention opens ticket TRANSFER between attendees and runs a resale group for it: a place changes hands at the price originally paid, and NormandiFurs warns that reselling above that price can carry penalties.

Name says Calvados, venue is in Manche
Despite the "Calvados" pun in the name, the 2025+ venue Blainville-sur-Mer sits on the Cotentin coast in Manche département, not Calvados. The D-Day landing beaches at Utah and Omaha are 60-95 km east. The convention''s three-venue history walks the geography west: Sommervieux 2019-2020 → Saint-Martin-des-Entrées near Bayeux (actual Calvados department) 2022-2024 → Le Sénéquet Blainville-sur-Mer from 2025.
FCD Archives, a maintained edition history
NormandiFurs runs a dedicated FCD Archives project documenting the convention''s history from its earliest editions to the most recent, with a date, a venue and a headcount for each: 49 attendees at Sommervieux in January 2019, then 86, 130, 145, 155, and 219 at Blainville-sur-Mer for FCD6 in June 2025. Most peer cons at this scale don''t formally archive their own past programming; FCD treats edition-by-edition memory as a published org function rather than a Telegram-thread oral tradition. Worth knowing if you compare numbers: the archive says 219 for FCD6 while the homepage and the FCD6 page both say 222.
Newcomer-onboarding seminars built into programming
Alongside standard dance events and panels, FurCalvaDance schedules introductory seminars aimed specifically at first-time furcon attendees. The format is a fit for the residential village layout where 300 attendees share meals and a privatised site for five days, newcomers can''t hide in the crowd, so the org front-loads onboarding rather than leaving it to peer osmosis.
