Les Furfurieux was established in 2023 by a French non-profit and draws 239 attendees to Metz, France. It is the primary furry convention for the Grand-Est region.
The fourth edition runs 6-9 May 2027 at the Best Western Plus Metz Technopole, under the theme "La Symphonie du Pixel". The convention has taken a different musical era each year, and 2027 turns to 1980s arcades; volunteers were recruited in July specifically to move arcade cabinets.
Registration opens on 12 September 2026 at 20:00, and this is the year to be ready for it. Only 240 places exist in total, split 195 room tickets and 45 day tickets, so fewer than one in five attendees can come without booking a bed through the convention. You can create your account ahead of the opening, and payment runs through HelloAsso for the first time.
The artists' alley returns with a new panel reserved for artists who have never tabled at a convention before, which is a gentler entry point than most alleys offer.
Les Furfurieux fills a geographical gap, offering furries in eastern France, Luxembourg, and western Germany an accessible regional convention. TGV train connections from Paris and Strasbourg put the venue within practical reach for a weekend trip.

Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport (ETZ) is 22 km from the hotel, handling select European routes. For broader international access, Luxembourg Airport (LUX) is about 65 km away, and Strasbourg Airport (SXB) is roughly 160 km east.
The most practical route for many attendees is by TGV high-speed train to Metz Gare Centrale. Direct TGV service connects Metz to Paris Est in about 80 minutes, and Metz to Strasbourg in under 50 minutes. From the train station, take the bus to the Francois Arago stop (about 50 meters from the hotel entrance), which connects the station and city center to the Technopole area in under 30 minutes. The hotel also has free parking for those arriving by car via the A31 motorway.

The third edition ran 7-10 May 2026 at the same Best Western Plus Metz Technopole under a "Y2K / Annees 2000" theme. The convention's public registration roster listed 239 confirmed attendees, of whom 148 were fursuiters and 15 were artists.
Tickets that year were 80 EUR for day access, 350 EUR with a room for three nights and breakfast, and 390 EUR for the same stay plus a sponsor-colour badge, a tank top, an eco-cup, stickers, a festival bracelet and a name credit in the conbook. The 2027 ladder replaced the two lodging tiers with a single room ticket.
Les Furfurieux 2025 brought 241 attendees to Metz for a heavy-metal inspired weekend at the Best Western Plus, held May 8-11 at the same Technopole venue.

Only 45 of the 240 tickets come without a bed
For 2027 the convention puts 195 Billet Furfurieux at €380 on sale, each covering three nights in a shared room at the privatized Best Western Plus Metz Technopole with breakfast throughout, and 45 Billet Convention at €90, which buys the days only, 09:00 to 02:00 in the hotel, with a lanyard and a named badge. A €40 Pack Sponsor can be added to either and puts your name in the conbook Remerciements. Those counts are printed beside the prices on the tickets page, so the whole convention is 240 people and only 45 of them can attend without booking a bed through it. There is no walk-in or partial-stay option, which is the small European pattern of treating registration as a lodging-slot purchase rather than a ticket-plus-hotel split. Plan on a room ticket unless you are quick on 12 September.

The 2026 edition publishes its full attendee roster on a separate legacy backend at registration.furfurieux.com, 239 confirmed registrants tagged by role (148 fursuiters, 15 artists), each carrying a persistent badge number that has been issued up to #254 with visible cancellation gaps (#18, #49, #76, #96, #121, #133, #147, #175, #188, #196-197, #212 and others). The roster is reachable without authentication and updates as new badges issue, which is a level of operational transparency unusual at sub-300 European scale; most cons in the cohort keep attendee lists private or surface only an aggregate count. If you register, expect your badge number and role to be publicly readable.

Les Furfurieux privatizes the entire Best Western Plus Metz Technopole for the weekend, with seven room types in inventory: Chambre Confort, Confort Twin, Privilège, Privilège Twin, Familiale (up to 4 guests), Quadruple, and the 50 m² Suite Junior with mini-bar and salon. The hotel sits on the edge of an 18-hole golf course with a seasonal outdoor pool, and free parking is included. Day-ticket holders without a room can stay inside the building between 09:00 and 02:00, matching the main programming window. The €90 and €380 tickets map directly onto whether you sleep on-site or not.
