Les Furfurieux was established in 2023 by a French non-profit and draws 241 attendees to Metz, France. It is the primary furry convention for the Grand-Est region.
The convention returns to Metz from May 7-10, 2026 with a nostalgic "Y2K / Annees 2000" theme.
Attendees gather at the 4-star Hotel Metz Technopole - Best Western Plus, situated on the edge of an 18-hole golf course and featuring a seasonal outdoor pool. The venue supports the convention's focus on community building, panels, and music events in a comfortable social setting.
Les Furfurieux fills a geographical gap, offering furries in eastern France, Luxembourg, and western Germany an accessible regional convention. TGV train connections from Paris and Strasbourg put the venue within practical reach for a weekend trip.
Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport (ETZ) is 22 km from the hotel, handling select European routes. For broader international access, Luxembourg Airport (LUX) is about 65 km away, and Strasbourg Airport (SXB) is roughly 160 km east.
The most practical route for many attendees is by TGV high-speed train to Metz Gare Centrale. Direct TGV service connects Metz to Paris Est in about 80 minutes, and Metz to Strasbourg in under 50 minutes. From the train station, take the bus to the Francois Arago stop (about 50 meters from the hotel entrance), which connects the station and city center to the Technopole area in under 30 minutes. The hotel also has free parking for those arriving by car via the A31 motorway.
The convention occupies the Hotel Metz Technopole - Best Western Plus, a 4-star property at 1 Rue Felix Savart, 57070 Metz. The hotel sits on the edge of an 18-hole golf course and includes a seasonal outdoor pool. Rooms accommodate a minimum of two people, with some designed for up to four guests. Amenities include private bathrooms, WiFi, flat-screen TVs, and complimentary breakfast. Free parking is available at the hotel and at nearby lots.

€80 day pass + €350/€390 bundled-lodging tiers
Only the €80 Billet Convention is a stand-alone day-pass SKU (in-hotel access 09:00-02:00, lanyard + named badge). Both upper tiers are bundled-lodging registrations at the privatized Best Western Plus Metz Technopole: €350 Billet Furfurieux covers three nights with breakfast included throughout the stay plus the basic badge, and €390 Billet Furieusement Furfurieux layers on a sponsor-color badge, a tank top (multi-size), an eco-cup with strap, stickers, a festival-style bracelet, and a name credit in the conbook Remerciements. There is no published walk-in or partial-stay tier, Les Furfurieux does not let attendees buy the upper experience and find their own room separately, which mirrors the small European pattern of treating registration as a lodging-slot purchase rather than a ticket-plus-hotel split.
Public badge-numbered attendee directory
The 2026 edition publishes its full attendee roster on a separate legacy backend at registration.furfurieux.com, 239 confirmed registrants tagged by role (148 fursuiters, 15 artists), each carrying a persistent badge number that has been issued up to #254 with visible cancellation gaps (#18, #49, #76, #96, #121, #133, #147, #175, #188, #196-197, #212 and others). The roster is reachable without authentication and updates as new badges issue, which is a level of operational transparency unusual at sub-300 European scale; most cons in the cohort keep attendee lists private or surface only an aggregate count. If you register, expect your badge number and role to be publicly readable.
Privatized Best Western Plus, seven room types from Confort to Suite Junior
Les Furfurieux privatizes the entire Best Western Plus Metz Technopole for the weekend, with seven room types in inventory: Chambre Confort, Confort Twin, Privilège, Privilège Twin, Familiale (up to 4 guests), Quadruple, and the 50 m² Suite Junior with mini-bar and salon. The hotel sits on the edge of an 18-hole golf course with a seasonal outdoor pool, and free parking is included. Day-pass holders without a room can stay inside the building between 09:00 and 02:00, matching the main programming window. The €80/€350/€390 tier ladder maps directly onto whether you sleep on-site or not.
