Fauntastic (Faun) 2027 is scheduled for Mar 26-30, 2027 in Bron, France.
Fauntastic is a French furry convention held near Lyon at the Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo. It drew 488 confirmed attendees in 2024 and positions itself as an inclusive event open to both furries and the general public.
The sixth edition wrapped in April 2026, and Faun Events has not yet announced dates, theme, or details for Fauntastic 7. The convention has run yearly at the Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo, typically in early April, and is organized around a themed mascot rather than a Guest of Honor program. Unlike large trade-show-style conventions, Fauntastic focuses on art, creativity, and social connection. Attendees are as likely to be in board game sessions in the lounge areas as at the dance. The 2026 edition named Le Refuge as its charity beneficiary, following the MeToo Fandom Furry Association in 2025.

From attendees
The nearest airport is Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport (LYS), a major international hub roughly 20 minutes from the venue by shuttle or taxi. The Rhonexpress tram connects the airport to Lyon Part-Dieu station in 30 minutes, and from there local transport reaches Bron. Lyon's TGV high-speed rail hub makes the convention accessible from Paris (under 2 hours), Marseille (1.5 hours), and direct trains from Geneva, Brussels, and Barcelona. The Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo is near the Eurexpo exhibition complex, east of Lyon's city center.
The convention is held at the Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo, which is the main venue and accommodation. Booking through the convention's room block keeps attendees at the center of the event. The hotel sits near the Eurexpo complex and has on-site dining and parking. Additional hotels in the Bron and eastern Lyon area are available for overflow.

Fauntastic 6 brought the Space Groove theme to the Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo on April 3-7, 2026. Organizers published the event aftermovie shortly after the convention and named Le Refuge as the charity beneficiary; final attendance and charity totals have not been published yet.
Fauntastic 2025 brought a dungeon-crawler-themed weekend to Lyon, with the MeToo Fandom Furry Association as its charity beneficiary. The convention has not published an attendance figure for this edition.

The associative bar with Association Membership as bar-access licence
Fauntastic's Q&A separates the bar from the rest of the convention: attendees pay a separate "Association Membership" line on the invoice to access it, framed as a per-event associative-bar pass, "a fee that allows you to access the convention's associative bar; valid only during the event."
Pretalx-driven CfP, unusual at furcon scale
Fauntastic runs its panel call-for-proposals on Pretalx (open-source self-hosted, at `pretalx.fauntastic.eu/fauntastic-2026/cfp`), the same conference scheduling tool used by FOSDEM and Chaos Communication Congress. Most peer French furcons collect panel pitches by Google Form or Telegram DM; a structured Pretalx CfP at this attendee scale (~500) is an outlier.
Doubles-only room inventory, no singles or triples
Every Fauntastic residential room at the Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo is a double for two people, there are no single rooms, no suites, no triples, and no extra beds permitted. Attendees pick between "double bed" (one large bed shared) and "twin beds" (two singles), and solo attendees are matched with a roommate by the org rather than being given a private room.
