Dogcitane is a new furry convention held in the center of Toulouse, the "Pink City" of southwest France. Its first edition runs July 9-13, 2027 at the Hôtel Mercure Toulouse Centre Compans, which the convention takes over completely for the five days.
Dogcitane describes its first year as "planting a new seed" in Toulouse. The convention runs for five days from July 9 to 13, and attendees can arrive early on July 8, when there are no activities. Registration opens in October 2026, and the convention will announce the exact date on its site and social channels.
The detailed programme is due in early 2027. The organizers say to expect themed panels, dances, artistic performances, games and other activities, and attendees can propose a panel or workshop of their own.
Dogcitane is a residential convention that takes place entirely inside a hotel reserved for the event, which the organizers say makes for a calm, respectful atmosphere where everyone has a place. The Residential Pass bundles the badge, four nights and two meals a day into one price, which makes the cost easy to plan. The organizers describe a small, inclusive convention aimed at both first-timers and fandom regulars, and the site includes a first-timer guide and a glossary of furry terms. The event is run by volunteers through a registered French non-profit association.
Convention pass, four hotel nights in a shared double room, breakfasts and dinners. Lunches are not included.
Badge and lanyard, conbook, and access to all panels, dances, activities and the Dealers' Den for all five days, without accommodation.
The Convention Pass without a hotel room is currently limited to residents of the Toulouse metropolitan area, so most attendees book the Residential Pass. Rooms for three or four people are available in very small numbers at the same price per person. Payment is by SEPA bank transfer within seven days of registering, or the booking can be cancelled. Sponsor and Super Sponsor options will be announced later, and registration opens in October 2026 on a date the convention will announce.
The hotel is about 100 metres from the Compans Caffarelli station on Toulouse metro line B. From Toulouse-Blagnac airport, the Tisséo airport shuttle stops at Compans-Caffarelli, and the hotel is a short walk from the stop; taxis are also available. From Toulouse-Matabiau station, the hotel is about a 15-minute walk or two metro stops away. Paid parking is available near the hotel and is not included in the pass.

Most attendees stay in the convention hotel itself, because the Residential Pass is the standard way to register. The Mercure Toulouse Centre Compans has 125 rooms, mostly doubles, and every room has air conditioning and a private bathroom. Rooms for three or four people exist in very small numbers at the same price per person. After paying, you can invite your roommates through the registration portal. The hotel is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and the organizers ask attendees with specific needs to contact them before registering.
