AnthroIrish (AI) is the clearest standalone furry convention in Cork, Ireland, and it matters because it gave the Irish fandom a dedicated convention instead of forcing every larger trip overseas. 2026: AnthroIrish Returns

AnthroIrish is a different type of target from the giant European conventions. It is important because it is local, culturally specific, and still early enough in its life cycle that each successful year materially changes its visibility. AnthroIrish 2 returned to Clayton Hotel Cork City on August 3-4, 2024 with the theme Faery Tail Creatures. The event drew 240 attendees, with fundraising for Feed West Cork and LadyNightlight listed as guest of honor.

2023: The First AnthroIrish

The inaugural edition ran on August 5-6, 2023 in Cork and drew 131 attendees. It raised €432 for the Irish Blood Transfusion Services, giving the event a clear community-minded identity from year one.
