Sachsen Furs Jahreswechsel (SFJ) 2026 is scheduled for Dec 29, 2026-Jan 1, 2027 at DJH Jugendherberge Dessau.
The Sachsen Furs Jahreswechsel (SFJ) is an 18+ residential New Year furry convention held at the Dessau youth hostel in eastern Germany. Run by Sachsen Furs e.V., the same Saxon nonprofit behind the Sachsen Fur Dance, it brings members together over the turn of the year for an all-inclusive few days of lodging, food, and celebration.
The next edition runs December 29, 2026 through January 1, 2027, with registration opening in the autumn of 2026.
SFJ is a residential, all-inclusive convention that runs across several days. The ticket covers lodging with bedding, full board, parking, the program, a bar, and amenities including a heated outdoor pool and a New Year's Eve midnight snack. Guests stay in multi-bed rooms at the hostel, according to the registration page. The registration desk hands out the room key and the badge on arrival. The programme page lists karaoke, a furdance and an improv show. A Dealers Den opens on December 30 and 31 from 14:30 to 17:30.
Dogs are welcome for a small per-night cleaning fee. House rules prohibit real-fur fursuits and taxidermied animals.
Registration runs through the official Sachsen Furs site and opens in the autumn of 2026. Pricing for the 2026/27 edition has not yet been published. The previous edition ran roughly EUR 150 to 340 depending on the length of stay, with full board and lodging included. Check sachsenfurs.de for the registration window.
The venue is the DJH Jugendherberge Dessau at Ebertallee 151, 06846 Dessau-Roßlau, in Saxony-Anhalt. Dessau is reachable by train from Leipzig and Berlin, with onward local transit to the hostel.
