Furgether 2027 | Upper Austria Furry Camp Convention Guide (FG) 2027 has upcoming dates to be announced at Camp Sibley.
Furgether is a residential furry camp convention at Camp Sibley in Laussa, Upper Austria, in the Kalkalpen National Park region. It describes itself as a convention "from the furry community for the furry community": a long weekend of campfires, board games and panels, with shared rooms, breakfast and dinner included, and a helper shift for everyone who attends.
Furgether has not announced dates for 2027 yet. Every edition since 2018 has taken place in September, and the team has used Camp Sibley every year since 2020, but neither the 2027 dates nor the 2027 price have been published. Its latest edition, Furgether 2026, ran from 16 to 20 September 2026 with 86 participants from six countries.
For 2026, the con ticket cost EUR 120 for Thursday to Sunday and covered housing, breakfast and dinner, soft drinks such as water and dilution juice, and the programme. Arriving on the Wednesday cost EUR 25 more. Registration ran on the official website until early August and was approved by hand, so watch the official site and the Telegram info channel for the 2027 opening.
Furgether is built for people who want a calm weekend with friends rather than a hotel convention. The site sits in the countryside of the Kalkalpen National Park region, parts of the programme happen outdoors, and the How To guide tells first-timers that spending time together is the main focus. Evenings revolve around the campfire, the bar and the party cabin, while daytime brings panels run by participants, board games, the fire pond and an optional climbing course on the grounds. With places capped at 99 in 2026 and a short helper shift for everyone, it works more like a big shared trip than an event you watch from the audience. The 2026 event page also set out a deliberate direction: the bar would no longer host party music or drinking-focused activities, and the team would look closely at who joins so the weekend stays quiet, warm and nature-focused. It suits people who would rather get to know most of the other guests by Sunday than spend the weekend in a large hotel crowd.
Camp Sibley is at Oberdambach 11, 4461 Laussa, in the district of Steyr-Land in Upper Austria. The organizers recommend travelling by long-distance train to Linz and then on to Steyr station, which is about 20 minutes from the site and has better public transport links. Train travellers coordinate a pickup from Steyr with other participants in a dedicated Furgether Telegram group, and the same arrangement runs for departures. If you drive, park on the green strip on the left as you arrive and keep off the sports field and the areas marked for the property owners; the check-in team tells you where this year's parking is. Before anything else, go to the Con-Ops office in the Main House without your luggage to check in with your photo ID. You will receive your badge, the NFC chip used to pay at the bar and a token for the deposit system there. Check the local weather forecast in the days before you travel, because mid-September evenings in the valley can be cool.

Accommodation is part of the ticket. Furgether provides youth-hostel-style housing at Camp Sibley in multi-bed rooms and dormitory rooms, plus a tent area if you prefer to sleep in your own tent. The registration form asks whether you want the Main House near the camping field or the mattress dormitory near the bar, whether you are an early or late sleeper, and who you want to share with. Room assignment happens on site, and the team tries to match room requests but cannot guarantee them. You need to bring your own bed sheet, pillow cover and sleeping bag or blanket, towels, toiletries and indoor slippers, which are compulsory inside the Main House. The venue provides pillows, which stay behind when you leave, and rooms must be left as you found them. Breakfast and dinner are served in the Dining Hall with a vegan option for every dish, though there is no official dinner on the early-arrival Wednesday. Early departure is allowed, and everyone has to leave the grounds by noon on the final day. The convention publishes no partner hotels, so if you do not want to stay on site, plan your own lodging in the surrounding district and your own transport to Laussa.
