SloFluffCon (SFC) 2027 is scheduled for Jan 21-24, 2027 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The announced theme is Everyday Heroes.
SloFluffCon is one of two annual furry conventions in Slovenia and the first the country ever hosted, debuting in August 2023 about a month before GoldenHorn's inaugural edition that September. Hosted by Slovensko Kosmatinsko Društvo, it grew from a 96-attendee debut at Hotel Evropa in Celje to its current home at the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars in Ljubljana, drawing 172 furs at its third edition in January 2026.
SloFluffCon returns to the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana from 21-24 January 2027 with the theme "Everyday Heroes", a tribute to the postal workers, train drivers, construction crews, sanitation staff, and everyone else whose work keeps a city alive but rarely gets a spotlight.
It's the fourth edition overall and the second consecutive year in the capital, after the move from Celje and the switch from August to January dates that came with the 2026 reboot.
SloFluffCon is one of only two furry weekends in Slovenia. The other is GoldenHorn on the coast. It also provides an accessible entry point into the European scene if you're based in the Western Balkans, Northern Italy, or Austria. The con is small enough to be social by default (every edition so far has had under 200 attendees) and the Ljubljana setting puts the hotel in the middle of a walkable European capital rather than a remote retreat.
By air: Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) sits about 25-30 km north of the city. Allow roughly 30 minutes by taxi or rideshare; the GoOpti shuttle and public bus 28 also connect the airport to central Ljubljana.
By train: Ljubljana Railway Station is a short walk from the Grand Hotel Union. International services run from Vienna, Munich, Zagreb, Trieste, and Budapest.
By bus: Ljubljana's main bus station sits next to the train station, with FlixBus and regional carriers serving Italy, Austria, Croatia, and the rest of Slovenia.
By car: Ljubljana lies on the A1 (Maribor-Koper) and A2 (Karawanken-Zagreb) motorway corridors. Parking in the city centre is paid and limited, so confirm hotel parking arrangements before driving in.

SloFluffCon is held at the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars, a historic property in central Ljubljana. The adjacent uHotel Ljubljana is connected to the main venue and is regularly used as overflow.
Ljubljana's city centre is compact, so independent hotels and hostels within a 10-15 minute walk are also viable if the con block sells out.
SloFluffCon's third edition was the first in Ljubljana, moving from Hotel Evropa in Celje to the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars. Held 22-25 January 2026 under the "Atomic Future" theme, it drew 172 attendees and locked in January as the convention's new slot after a missed 2025 year.
The second edition stayed in Celje at Hotel Evropa from 24-27 August 2024, with the theme "Mystery at the Hotel" and attendance growing to 168.
SloFluffCon's debut ran 19-22 August 2023 at Hotel Evropa in Celje. The theme was "Secret Agents", and the con closed with 96 attendees, including 18 staff. Planning for the next edition started almost immediately afterward.
