Orlando is one of the most-visited cities in the U.S. with strong flight connections:
The pool is wristband-only in 2026, and only hotel guests get a wristband. The Hyatt's own "Know Before You Prowl" notice, which Megaplex passed on to attendees on 17 August 2026, states that registered hotel guests receive a wristband at check-in, that wristbands are required for pool access, and that "guests without a wristband will not be permitted in the pool area". Lost or damaged wristbands are not replaced. Megaplex programmes poolside DJ sets, so staying off-site now means missing that stage rather than just the swim.

Megaplex 2026 ran August 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando under the theme "Furries, Uh, Find A Way". The official post-con result reported 12,542 attendees and $100,000 raised for the Florida Wildlife Federation. PalaeoGames served as guests of honor.
Megaplex 2025 broke the 10,000-attendee barrier for the first time, reaching 10,038. The event raised a record $90,600 for Greater Orlando Pet Alliance.
Megaplex 2024 drew 7,202 attendees to the Hyatt Regency Orlando and raised $81,000 for the Street Dog Coalition. The 39% jump in headcount over 2023 set up the following year's push past 10,000.

FLUFF Inc., the 501(c)(3) behind Megaplex
Megaplex is run by Florida United Furry Fandom, Inc. ("FLUFF Inc."), a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in Florida. Every board member and executive volunteers their time; the organization names its full board, exec team, and staff leads publicly on the site.
Hyatt Regency Orlando and the five-overflow strategy
Megaplex is held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando at 9801 International Drive, with the convention occupying the hotel's two-tower atrium complex on Orlando's main tourism corridor. The room block opens via Hyatt code G-MEG6 with the resort fee waived.
The Box Brigade and the off-season Megaplex picnic
Two pieces of MPLX culture sit outside the standard panel-grid. The Box Brigade is an opt-in fundraising shift where fursuiters carry official Megaplex donation boxes around the convention space, where a suit draws far more spare change into the charity total than a plain collection tin does, attendees sign up at the info desk by Registration.
