Megaplex 2026 runs Friday August 21 through Sunday August 23 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, with the Jurassic Park-riff theme "Furries, Uh, Find A Way". Guests of Honor are PalaeoGames (Dr. Nathan Barling and Dr. Mike O'Sullivan), the paleontology duo behind the popular dinosaur-themed content series. The 2026 charity partner is the Florida Wildlife Federation, which celebrates its 90th anniversary the same year and leads the long-running campaign to protect the Florida panther, Megaplex's mascot animal. January 2026 brought a generational leadership handoff: Allon stepped up as Convention Chairman and Kastor took over as FLUFF Inc. President, succeeding longtime chair Blitzen.
As of early July, the con is filling up fast. The Silver, Gold, and Platinum sponsor tiers have sold out, while Bronze, full-weekend, and single-day registrations remain open. Advance (preregistration) pricing runs through July 10, after which at-the-door rates apply. The main Hyatt Regency room block (group code G-MEG6, resort fee waived) stays open until July 29, backed by five overflow hotels along International Drive whose blocks close between July 20 and August 20.

FLUFF Inc., the 501(c)(3) behind Megaplex
Megaplex is run by Florida United Furry Fandom, Inc. ("FLUFF Inc."), a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in Florida. Every board member and executive volunteers their time; the organization names its full board, exec team, and staff leads publicly on the site.
Hyatt Regency Orlando and the five-overflow strategy
Megaplex is held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando at 9801 International Drive, with the convention occupying the hotel's two-tower atrium complex on Orlando's main tourism corridor. The room block opens via Hyatt code G-MEG6 with the resort fee waived.
The Box Brigade and the off-season Megaplex picnic
Two pieces of MPLX culture sit outside the standard panel-grid. The Box Brigade is an opt-in fundraising shift where fursuiters carry official Megaplex donation boxes around the convention space, leveraging the visual appeal of a suit to nudge spare change into the charity total, attendees sign up at the info desk by Registration.
