FursonaCon's thirteenth edition runs September 2-5, 2027, and trades the luxury train for a starship: the convention sails as the U.S.S. FursonaCon, hull number VA-FSC27. It stays at the Marriott at Newport News City Center, and registration opened within days of the 2026 edition closing.
Three tiers are on sale. Early Bird pre-registration is $50, which the convention says will end at the end of September 2026 and be replaced by a $60 pre-registration price. Sponsor is $90 and adds a t-shirt and a distinct badge; God Level is $250 and adds a Friday dinner, an exclusive gift, and access to sponsor-only chat channels. That is a change of shape from 2026, when Sponsor and God Level were name-your-price tiers with those numbers as minimums.
There are no day passes. One membership covers Thursday through Sunday whenever you buy it, and the at-the-door price falls through the weekend from $70 on Thursday and Friday to $60 on Saturday and $50 on Sunday. No guest of honour or charity partner has been announced yet.

Registration opened straight after the 2026 edition closed. The Early Bird price is time-limited: the convention says it ends at the end of this month and will be replaced by a $60 pre-registration price. At-the-door prices fall as the weekend runs, $70 on Thursday and Friday, $60 on Saturday and $50 on Sunday, and a single membership covers the rest of the weekend whichever day you buy it. This is a different shape from the 2026 ladder, where Sponsor and God Level were name-your-price tiers with those figures as minimums; in 2027 they are fixed prices.

Sponsor and God Level are name-your-price tiers, so the listed amounts are minimums rather than fixed prices. The FAQ says online applications are closed, at-door registration is available, and registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. The current official registration page does not publish an exact at-door price.
The twelfth edition cast the weekend as a train journey with a body on board, and the convention leaned on it hard enough that its photography team announced they had been "murdered last night" before opening for one last morning of portraits. Programming ran two fursuit parades on the Saturday, a video-game tournament ladder whose Beat Saber winner took home a free badge for 2027, and a live charity auction for Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation before closing ceremonies. The convention's own post-con figures are preliminary rather than final: it reports a 19% rise in attendance on 2025 and a five-figure charity total for Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation, while saying in the same breath that it is still counting. It revealed the 2027 theme on the closing day.
FursonaCon 2025 saw a record attendance of 1,266 for its nautical adventure theme. The convention raised $23,000 for Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation and featured artist Danji-Isthmus.

Name-your-price Sponsor and God-Level tiers above the minimums
FursonaCon's tier ladder runs Early Pre-Reg $60 / Sponsor minimum $90 / God-Level minimum $250, and the top two are open-ended name-your-price rather than fixed prices. Attendees can pay anything at or above the minimum, with no caps and no sold-out tiers. The mechanic is a Showclix platform feature rather than a FursonaCon-authored design, but it's uncommon among US cons that use Showclix.
AI artwork banned from the jury-reviewed Dealers Den
Dealers Den at FursonaCon is jury-reviewed at $200 per 6'x2' table (one badge included, $50 assistant badge, $10 power add-on), and the dealer policy explicitly bans AI-generated artwork and weapon sales. Combined with the codified press policy (advance application by March 1, live streaming prohibited entirely) the con runs a tighter publication-and-commerce perimeter than the all-ages framing implies.
Two fursuit parades across the weekend, not one
Most US cons run a single Saturday fursuit parade as the headline group event. FursonaCon runs two parades across the weekend, a structural quirk picked up from the convention's narrative-mystery format where multi-act scheduling lets more attendees participate without queue compression.
