THERE IS NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION THIS YEAR, which the convention states in capitals - so missing the 13 December cutoff means not attending, and neither tier can be bought during the event. If you want the badge mailed instead, that closes even earlier, on 28 November. The convention is 18+ but several of the base tier's perks are 21+ only: the manager's cocktail reception and the champagne toast. Every attendee must collect an age verification sticker. The sponsor gifts are explicitly limited and several cannot be bought separately at any price. Registrations are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person or rolled to next year if requested by 24 December 2026.

Mall-themed tier ladder is the NYFB house signature
NYFB renames its registration tiers every year to match the theme. The 2026 Mega Mall Shopping Spree edition ran:

The flagship hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Wilmington (Concord Pike), and the convention rate runs on a per-night ladder rather than a single flat figure (rates exclude tax, king or 2-double rooms same price):
Day 0 (Dec 29) is open to all without a badge
Most furcons gate every minute of programming behind a paid badge. NYFB explicitly opens Day 0 (December 29) to everyone whether or not they hold a registration. The Calm Room, Game Room, and Opening Ceremonies all run that day as free drop-ins, so locals, curious newcomers, and prospective attendees who have not committed to a full badge can walk in and meet the community before deciding to register. Combined with the under-12 free policy and the Mall Rat teen tier ($45 early), the Day 0 free-access window makes NYFB one of the more on-ramped US furcons for first-timers, the convention treats Day 0 as a recruiting funnel rather than a gated soft launch for sponsors only.
