Anthrocon is the second-largest furry convention worldwide with 18,357 attendees in 2025, held annually in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It contributes approximately $15 million to the local economy and has become one of the city's signature annual events.
Running over the July 2-5, 2026 holiday weekend, Anthrocon adopts a folklore theme with "Critters, Cryptids & Curses".
A signature event is the Anthrocon Fursuit Parade, which follows a coordinated route through downtown Pittsburgh rather than staying inside the convention center. With the Cryptid theme, expect non-standard creature suits, Mothman wings, and Wendigo designs as thousands of Pittsburgh residents line the streets to watch.
