AnthrOhio is an Ohio furry convention held at the Hilton Columbus Downtown, tracing its origins to a 40-person picnic event in 2003 under the name Morphicon. It set a record with 3,902 attendees in 2026 and raised $18,119 for W.A.G.S. 4 Kids. The next edition, "Island Getaway," returns to the Hilton Columbus Downtown on May 21 to 23, 2027.
AnthrOhio 2027 runs May 21 to 23 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown under the "Island Getaway" theme, with Pirate Artisans announced as Guest of Honor. After a record-setting 2026, the convention returns to its usual late-spring slot in downtown Columbus. AnthrOhio 2026 set a record with 3,902 attendees (+53% YoY) under the "Rock You Like A Furricane" theme. Guests of Honor: Manick, Cosmik, Rhubarb. The convention raised $18,119 for W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, an Ohio service-dog non-profit, debuted the "Exhibitors Row" meet-and-greet platform for newer regional conventions, and worked around a Hilton-tower opening delay that pushed Thursday-Friday programming into other rooms until Saturday.
AnthrOhio 2025 drew 2,536 attendees to Columbus for its fairy-themed weekend. The convention raised $8,251 for Ohio Nature Education and featured Houndsaint as Guest of Honor.
AnthrOhio 2024 hosted 1,950 attendees at its Columbus venue under the "Purranormal" theme, raising $8,371.72 for Ohio Nature Education and marking steady growth for the long-running Ohio convention.

W.A.G.S. 4 Kids and the Cell Dog Program
AnthrOhio''s 2026 charity is W.A.G.S. 4 Kids (Working Animals Giving Service for Kids), a 2004-founded Ohio non-profit that places mobility, autism, and psychiatric service dogs with children across 38 northeast and central Ohio counties.
Exhibitor's Row, the 2026 platform for fellow conventions
AnthrOhio 2026 debuted Exhibitor''s Row, a first-of-its-kind on-site space where the con invites other furry conventions to set up tables, meet attendees, and pitch their events face-to-face. It runs in the lower lobby of Tower 401: Friday noon-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-4pm.
AIDS Healthcare Foundation: on-site rapid HIV testing and harm reduction
AnthrOhio 2026 partnered with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) to run a full on-site sexual-health and harm-reduction station: rapid HIV testing, PrEP/PEP information, and Narcan.
