From attendees
The lodge's position makes it accessible for Northeast and Midwest attendees:
Curated stays near North Park Lodge, Allison Park, United States.
The lodging setup is specific to the "lodge-con" format:
WPAFW 2025 drew 645 attendees to its scenic lodge-con gathering and raised $23,900 for Animal Advocates, with one shelter cat adopted during the event weekend. Mythic, the 2026 Featured Artist, took the baton from 2025's HearthFox.

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
No Dealers Den, no Artist Alley, by design
Almost every US furcon is built around a Dealers Den plus Artist Alley, with the charity auction as a Sunday-afternoon side track. WPAFW deliberately inverts that. The org publishes the choice on both the FAQ and About pages: "the focus is entirely on raising money for our charity partner... we have a charity auction with some amazing items in it where we encourage attendees to spend the money they might have otherwise used in a Dealers Den or Artist Alley." The charity auction runs as a live comedy show on the closing day and pulls the spending that would normally flow to vendor tables. A single Featured Artist program, running continuously since 2005, with 2026 featuring Mythic from the Cleveland furry community, substitutes for the standard artist economy and supplies a custom piece of artwork as the top-tier Ultra Sponsor perk.
All-inclusive food and the Tilted Tavern pop-up bar
Registration covers a full weekend of catered meals, Friday lunch, dinner, and dessert; Saturday brunch, dinner, and dessert; Sunday lunch and dinner, plus the on-site Tilted Tavern, a pop-up bar serving beer, cider, and craft soda. Almost no US furcon includes food and alcohol in the ticket price; most defer food service to the host hotel or to food trucks. WPAFW's model is the operational consequence of the park venue, which has no restaurant: the organization provisions everything itself. The CoC pairs that with a Pennsylvania-state-law-grounded service rule that staff over-serving cutoffs cannot be appealed to another staff member, and the shuttle program runs hotel-to-venue and venue-to-hotel precisely so that no one who has been drinking needs to drive.
Tier-cascading pre-reg deadlines and a hard sell-out before the event
WPAFW publishes three different registration deadlines, one per tier, each chained to the matching refund deadline: Ultra Sponsor closes August 16, Super Sponsor closes September 6, and Standard Sponsor closes September 21. There is no on-site registration ("we will sell out of registration slots ahead of the event") and no day pass. Refund, transfer, upgrade, and downgrade mechanics all cascade off the same ladder, you can only upgrade to a higher tier before that higher tier's deadline. Combined, this is a hard-cap model with structurally cascading cutoffs, distinct from the modal US furcon pattern (a single flat refund cliff plus walk-in availability for any unsold capacity). The lodge's physical occupancy is the underlying constraint.
