Furpocalypse is an absolute Northeast institution! Taking over the Hilton Stamford Hotel in Connecticut, this brilliantly themed Halloween convention has established itself as the ultimate destination for furs who love all things spooky, post-apocalyptic, and charitable.
As the name implies, Furpocalypse is built from the ground up to celebrate the Halloween aesthetic. Running over the Halloween weekend (October 29 - November 1, 2026), the convention practically demands creative costuming! Attendees routinely mix traditional fursuits with incredible, spooky Halloween attire. The event even features a highly anticipated "fursuit parade" that often incorporates trick-or-treating for younger attendees and local Stamford residents.
Having survived massive growth (and safely relocating from Cromwell to Stamford), the 2026 edition promises high energy with its incredible "Rock N' Roll Nightmare" theme. Expect heavy metal aesthetics, high-energy concerts, and a brilliantly dark party atmosphere.
Despite the apocalyptic premise, the convention is famously generous. Drawing in over 3,000 attendees, Furpocalypse has established a staggering track record of fundraising, frequently pulling in nearly $20,000 over a single weekend to support vital local animal rescues and social charities.
