Two adjacent National-Register hotels run as the convention block
Fur the More 2026 splits across two co-equal hotels two downtown blocks apart, both on the National Register of Historic Places. The Lord Baltimore Hotel (20 W Baltimore St) is a 1928 French Renaissance landmark by William Lee Stoddart, 22 stories at 289 ft, NRHP #82001587, and a member of Historic Hotels of America, known for its grand-piano lobby, polished brass, and the immense Murano-glass chandelier under an award-winning vaulted-fresco ceiling.
A three-step parent-org migration ending in 501(c)(3) charity status
Fur the More publishes a richer parent-org lineage than most peer cons. March 2012: NorthEast Anthropomorphic Association (NEAA) backed the brand-new convention as the umbrella 501(c)(7) non-profit. 2015: when Fur the More moved to Tysons VA, NEAA "was unable to continue as our sponsor," so the chairs founded Mid-Atlantic Anthropomorphic Society, also a 501(c)(7).
Rangers, Chief of Rangers, and a two-tier minor-badge system
Most US cons call their enforcement arm Security (Anthrocon, MFF), Ops (FE), or Safety (TFF). Fur the More uses Rangers, with appeals escalated to the Chief of Rangers or an event chair for review, a vocabulary unique to MidAnthro events, written into the Code of Conduct''s age-appropriate-content section.
