Searching for furry events near you usually turns up one of two things. You find the big conventions, which happen once a year and need a hotel, or you find nothing at all. The furry raves, fursuit walks and furmeets in between are easy to miss, because most of them have not published their next date yet.

This guide is for that middle layer. We list 143 recurring furry events across 30 countries, and the method below comes out of that data: where to look, who to follow, and what to check before you go. If you want a convention instead, the conventions near you guide covers that search.

Key Takeaways

  • Find the group first and the date second. Only about a third of the 143 events we list have a future date on file right now. The rest stay TBA until the organiser announces one.
  • Join the organiser's Telegram channel. 95 of our 143 events name one, and it is the channel to watch for the next date.
  • Search the names organisers use. "Rave", "furdance", "suitwalk" and "furmeet" find events that "furry dance" misses.
  • Expect an age limit at night. 13 of the 17 US raves and club nights we list are 21+, and most European furdances are 18+.
  • Fursuit walks are the all-ages option. 16 of our 18 walks are open to everyone and free to join.

Start With Our Events List and Calendar

The events list holds every recurring furry event we publish. Filter it by type and region, and each result links to a page with the venue, how often it runs, the age policy and the organiser's own channels. Those channels matter most, because the page tells you where the date will be announced even when the date itself is still TBA.

The convention calendar shows one-day events alongside the conventions, with an Events toggle that is on by default. Use it to see what falls on a given weekend. The map pins events too, which helps when "near you" means an hour on a train.

If you live in Germany, the United Kingdom or the United States, the country pages group every convention and event in one place. Those three countries hold 83 of our 143 events between them: 35 in the US, 28 in Germany and 20 in the UK.

Four kinds of furry event we list: 40 furmeets at a pub or cafe, 42 raves and club nights for one night out, 18 fursuit walks outdoors, and 16 festivals over a weekend.
Published listings on FurryGuides as of 25 September 2026. Raves combine furdances and club nights.

Know What to Search For

Organisers use a handful of names for these events.

A rave or furdance is a ticketed dance night with furry DJs, often with a fursuit lounge. In the US the same thing usually runs as a club night at a regular bar. What is a furdance explains the format, and the two scenes compared covers why they differ.

A fursuit walk or suitwalk is a group walk through a park or city centre in suit, usually free. What is a fursuit walk has the details. A furmeet is a regular social at a pub, cafe or park, and it is the most common format we list, with 40 of them.

Search with those words plus your city: "Leeds furmeet", "Munich suitwalk", "Portland furry rave". If the formats are still a blur, the side-by-side comparison sets out who each one suits.

Furry Raves and Club Nights

We list 42 raves, furdances and club nights, and where you live decides which kind you will find.

In the US, 13 of the 17 we list are recurring club nights at a regular venue, and almost all of them are 21+. Frolic in San Francisco has run since 2010 and meets every two months. Roar in Sacramento is monthly, with a listed entry of $10, or $7 if you arrive in fursuit. PLUSH in Portland runs quarterly at a venue with a capacity of 150. Ravefurrest tours instead of holding a fixed venue, and it is 18+.

In Europe, 16 of the 25 we list happen once a year, most are run by a nonprofit or community group, and 21 of them are 18+. Bavarian Furdance in Nuremberg runs twice a year with a capacity of 600. Nordic Furdance in Hamburg is annual, and Otterdance in Amsterdam runs irregularly.

Several have sold out in advance. Sachsen Fur Dance sold all 300 places for its June 2026 edition, and Otterdance has sold out every edition since its second. Follow the organiser before registration opens. If it will be your first night out, your first furdance covers what to pack and what to expect.

Fursuit Walks

We list 18 fursuit walks, and 11 of them are in Germany. Outside Germany there are regular walks in New York City and Columbus, and large annual ones in Warsaw and Wrocław.

Walks are the easiest first event to attend. 16 of our 18 are listed as all-ages, entry is free, and you do not need a fursuit to walk along or help as a spotter.

The awkward part is timing. Thirteen of the 18 walks run once a year, twice a year or irregularly, and only 3 have a future date on file right now. The organiser's channel is where the date appears first.

Furmeets

Furmeets are the most common event we list, 40 in total, and 21 of them meet every month. The UK has 15 monthly meets in 14 cities, and most are named after the city: LondonFurs, MancFurs, LeedsFurs, BristolFurs, EdinFurs and more. LondonFurs has met since 1998 and entry is free.

Check the age policy before you go, because 18 of the 40 furmeets we list are 18+ or older. If you are under 18, look for a walk, a picnic or a bowling meet, where the all-ages listings sit.

Outside the UK, meets run in cities from Halifax to Dublin, where IrishFurries rotate between Dublin, Belfast, Cork and Galway.

How to Find One This Weekend

Four steps to find a furry event this weekend: filter the events list, check the calendar, join the organiser's channel, confirm the date there.
Steps 3 and 4 matter most when the event page still says TBA.

Filter the events list by type and region to see what exists near you at all. Check the calendar for the weekend you have in mind, with events switched on. Join the organiser's channel from the event page, since that is where a TBA turns into a date. Confirm the date there before you buy a train ticket, because our listing updates after theirs does.

For a second opinion, Furdar is a calendar of furmeets and events that anyone can edit. Treat what you find there as a lead, and confirm it on the organiser's own channel.

Check These Before You Go

  • The age policy. A 21+ club night checks ID at the door, so a ticket alone will not get a 19-year-old in.
  • Tickets. Most raves and furdances we list charge for entry, and some sell out. Walks are free, and so are many furmeets.
  • A fursuit lounge or changing space. If you plan to suit, check the event page for one, or ask the organiser.
  • The latest post on the organiser's channel. An event whose last post is a year old may have stopped running.

If Nothing Runs Near You

Check the nearest large city first, then the formats you skipped. A town with no rave may still have a monthly furmeet, and a region with no furmeet may have a walk twice a year.

If there really is nothing, a furmeet is the easiest thing to start. It needs a pub or cafe, a date and a Telegram group to announce it in. For a bigger trip, the conventions near you guide covers the annual events worth travelling for.

FAQ

Are there furry raves near me?

If you live near a large city in the US or Europe, probably. We list 42 raves, furdances and club nights, 27 of them in the US or Germany. Open the events list, filter by type, and check your region.

Are furry raves 18+?

Almost always. 13 of the 17 US raves and club nights we list are 21+, and 21 of the 25 in Europe are 18+. Fursuit walks are the main all-ages option.

Do I need a fursuit to go?

No. Furmeets and raves are open to people in ordinary clothes, and walks welcome people who come along as spotters or photographers.

How much does a furry event cost?

Fursuit walks are free, and so are many furmeets, including LondonFurs. US club nights we list charge between $5 and $25, and a European furdance can cost more, such as the €58 listed for Nordic Furdance. Each event page carries the organiser's listed price.

How do I find a furry event this weekend?

Open the convention calendar with events switched on, then confirm the date on the organiser's channel before you travel. Most events announce there first.

Why do so many events say TBA?

Many recurring events announce each date only once it is fixed, on their own channel. We record TBA until the organiser publishes one, because a guessed date sends people to an empty venue.

Event counts, types, age policies, frequencies, prices and channels in this guide were derived from the published event pages on FurryGuides on 25 September 2026. Each event page cites the organiser's own announcement or channel. These figures change as events are added and dates are confirmed.
