The Bavarian Furdance is the largest standalone furry dance event in Europe. Twice a year, up to 600 furries fill Z-Bau in Nuremberg for an evening of DJ sets, fursuit dancing, and a catered buffet dinner. Organized by Bayern-Furs e.V., the BFD has grown from a casual gathering of 105 people in 2015 into a reliably sold-out event that anchors the German furdance calendar.

What to Expect

Doors open at 3 to 4 PM for registration and socializing. The main event runs from 5 PM to 2 AM. The evening starts with lighter music and brighter lighting, building through electro, 80s, rock, and alternative DJ sets as the night progresses.

The venue is Z-Bau, a cultural center in Nuremberg. It is a purpose-built event space, not a bar or club, which means the layout is designed for large gatherings with dedicated areas for dancing, socializing, and fursuiting.

The fursuit lounge is well-equipped with fans, clothing racks, hydration supplies, and repair stations. Fursuiters receive free beverages in the lounge area. A full buffet dinner is included in every ticket tier, which distinguishes the BFD from most other furdances where food is separate.

How to Get Tickets

Registration opens through reg.bayern-furs.de. Four ticket tiers are available:

• Attendee: EUR 36.50 (includes buffet and badge)
• Sponsor: EUR 46.50 (adds sponsor perks)
• Super Sponsor: EUR 56.50
• Ultra Sponsor: EUR 66.50

Payment is typically by bank transfer. Both 2025 editions sold out completely, so register early once dates are announced. Door purchases carry a surcharge if tickets remain.

Minors may attend with a parental guardian (both need tickets and special registration).

How to Get There

Z-Bau is located at Frankenstrasse 200, 90461 Nuremberg. It is accessible by public transit from Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof (main station). The venue has limited parking, so public transit or rideshare is recommended.

Nuremberg is well-connected by train from Munich (1 hour), Frankfurt (2 hours), and Berlin (3 to 4 hours).
