Halloween-Walk Bamberg

The Halloween-Walk Bamberg is a fursuit walk through the old town of Bamberg in Upper Franconia, held every year on October 31. Fursuiters, spotters and photographers meet in a city-centre car park in the afternoon and walk the streets in costume, giving passers-by a fright and handing out sweets to children. It is organized by Freunde auf 2 Pfoten e.V., the association that also runs RhönDance and SpringFurCon.

What to Expect

The walk follows a route through the Bamberg inner city and old town, and the association has changed it before to find new photo spots. In recent years the group met at 14:30, set off at 15:00 and finished the walk at 17:00, then sat down for a shared dinner at 18:00 at the Rodez 7 restaurant. You say whether you want to join the dinner when you register.

Halloween costumes for suiters and spotters are welcome but not required. If you want to hand out sweets, the organizers ask for individually wrapped ones and a basket or bowl to carry them. The 2026 announcement says that everyone is welcome, in fursuit or without one.

How to Join

The walk is free, but everyone registers in advance in the association's pretix shop. There are three free categories: suiter, spotter and photographer. Suiter places are limited, and they ran out in 2025, so sign up early if you plan to suit.

The organizers do not accept false details in the form or one person registering a group at once, so each walker signs up on their own. The association lists all of its events on its events page and posts updates on its Bluesky account.

The meeting point is the Tiefgarage Zentrum Nord, an underground car park at Georgendamm 2a, 96047 Bamberg. The group gathers on level U2 near exit 3.
