LondonFurs Winter Weekender is the December counterpart to the LondonFurs Summer Weekender, run by the same London community. It packs two parties into one weekend: a Friday night neon boat party on the River Thames and a free all-day Winter Party on Saturday at Tank & Paddle Minster Court in the City of London. Both days are 18+, and you need photo ID that matches the name on your ticket.
The 2026 Winter Weekender runs Friday December 4 and Saturday December 5, returning to the neon, glitch and rave look of the FrostByte theme for a third time. The Neon Boat Party boards at Blackfriars Pier, leaves at 7pm sharp and is due back by 11:20pm. Boat tickets go on sale online on Saturday October 10, 2026 at 1pm, and in person from midday at that day's LondonFurs meet at Tank & Paddle. A Boat Party ticket also gets you into Saturday. Free tickets for the Saturday Winter Party, along with Saturday fursuit bag tickets, are released on Saturday October 31 at 8pm.
The Winter Weekender is built around two very different nights. Friday is four hours of DJ sets on a boat moving along the Thames in December, so dress for the cold. Saturday is a long free party in a City pub venue with DJs, drinks deals and a fursuit walk, open from noon until 11pm. There are no hotel blocks or registration fees to plan around: you pay for the boat if you want it and book a free ticket for Saturday. LondonFurs describes its regular meets as generally accepted to be the largest regular furry meets in the UK, and the Winter Party draws on that same crowd.
Both venues are in central London, and most visitors reach them by Tube, rail or bus rather than by car. Tank & Paddle Minster Court is at 3 Mincing Lane, EC3R 7AA, a short walk from Monument, Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street stations. For 2026 the boat embarks and disembarks at Blackfriars Pier, beside Blackfriars station on the District and Circle lines and Thameslink. In earlier years the boat used Tower Millennium Pier near Tower Bridge instead, so check the official Winter page for the current pier before you travel. Visitors from abroad can fly into any of the London airports; Heathrow is linked to central London by the Elizabeth line and the Piccadilly line, and London City Airport is closest to the City on the DLR. Driving into the City of London is not practical for a weekend party, and the boat leaves at 7pm sharp whether or not you have made it to the pier.

LondonFurs does not run a hotel block, so you book your own accommodation. The City of London and the streets around Tower Hill and Aldgate keep you within walking distance of Tank & Paddle, which helps on Saturday because the party runs until 11pm. If you plan to walk over in fursuit, the organizers say that needs no bag ticket, so a room close to Mincing Lane is worth paying for. For the Friday boat, anywhere on the District, Circle or Thameslink lines makes the trip to Blackfriars straightforward, and the boat is due back after 11pm, so leave time to get home. Early December is a busy month for London hotels, and the boat tickets usually go quickly, so book a room once you know you have a boat ticket. Budget travellers often look further out along a direct Tube or Elizabeth line route and travel in for each night.
A year-by-year record of this convention
Open an edition to see the details that belong to that year.
The 2025 Winter Weekender ran December 5-6. The Friday party moved to a bigger boat, the MV Dutch Master, sailing from Tower Millennium Pier, with standard boat tickets at £35 and a limited early-bird batch at £25. Saturday's Winter Party at Tank & Paddle Minster Court was free but needed a ticket, and the organizers' wrap post thanked attendees without publishing a headcount.
The 2024 edition, Krampuss, ran December 6-7 with a darker Christmas theme. The Friday boat party boarded at Blackfriars Pier, and a late loss of the larger changing area meant 150 free fursuit bag tickets were needed for Saturday at Tank and Paddle. LondonFurs thanked "the record amount of you" who came to the Saturday party, without giving a number.
LondonFurs added its first winter boat party in 2023, turning the December party into a two-day weekender. The Neon Boat Party aboard the MV Jewel of London sailed on Friday December 8 from Tower Millennium Pier, and Saturday December 9 brought a free all-day party at Tank and Paddle.

Check the pier every year
The Friday boat has not always left from the same place. It boarded at Tower Millennium Pier near Tower Bridge in 2023 and 2025, and at Blackfriars Pier in 2024 and 2026, and in 2025 LondonFurs posted a reminder that the pier had changed. The boat leaves at 7pm sharp, so read the current Winter page before setting out.
Bringing a fursuit takes a bag ticket
To manage capacity, anyone bringing a fursuit case needs a Fursuit Bag Ticket: one ticket per person, for one bag. The Friday batch is released with the boat tickets and also covers Saturday, and a Saturday-only batch comes out with the free Winter Party tickets. Carrying just the head in a shoulder bag, or walking over already in suit from a nearby hotel, needs no bag ticket.
