The nearest major airport is London Heathrow (LHR), about 40 minutes away by the RailAir coach service that runs directly from Reading Station. Reading Station itself is a major rail hub served by Great Western Railway, CrossCountry, South Western Railway, and the Elizabeth line, with direct trains from London Paddington taking around 25 minutes. If you are driving, Reading is well connected via the M4 motorway.

Since this is a smaller single-day social event, most attendees will not need overnight accommodation. If you do want to stay, Reading town centre has a range of hotels and budget options within walking distance of the station. Premier Inn Reading Central and the Ibis Reading Centre are both reliable choices close to the venue area.
The Berkshire Furs group held its first official meet on October 23, 2023, at the Reading Biscuit Factory. Monthly meets followed at Phantom Brewing Co in Reading on the last Sunday of each month through 2024 and into 2025. The "Rhythm of the Night" party on August 3, 2025, at Playlist Live ran a nine-hour 80s and 90s music session with four DJs, and its sponsor tickets sold out ahead of the day. Berkshire Furs has not published how many people came. When Phantom Brewing Co closed in December 2025, the group relocated. The Springter Party in March 2026 is the first branded event under the Berkshire Furs name, building directly on the Rhythm of the Night's success.

Incorporated as a Community Interest Company
Berkshire Furs is incorporated as a Community Interest Company, a UK social-enterprise form carrying an asset lock, which means money and assets put into the group cannot later be extracted for private profit. That is an unusual step for a regional furry meet group, most of which stay unincorporated, and it is a meaningful guarantee if you are handing them ticket money.
A four-stage venue chain across three years
Regular meets have hopped through a documented chain of pubs and clubs: Reading Biscuit Factory (first meet, October 2023) → Phantom Brewing Co (2 years of monthly meets, closed December 2025) → Playlist Live (Springter Party host) → The Lodge → Face Bar Reading (Ambrose Place, RG1 7JE) by April 2026. Each move was venue-driven rather than strategic, a small-org pattern most cons don''t expose.
