Aberacon is a proud, deeply community-focused convention returning for another spectacular year by the sea in Port Talbot, South Wales! Launched as a highly successful single-day free event in 2024, it has rapidly evolved into a full weekend destination for the Welsh furry community.

2026: Welsh Mythology

Scheduled for August 28-30, 2026, the convention embraces its heritage with the brilliant "MabiDOGion: Welsh Mythology" theme. Hosted at the scenic Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel, attendees are treated to a beautifully relaxed, seaside-town atmosphere that provides a spectacular backdrop for fursuiting and photography.

Aberacon stands out for its deep regional pride, actively supporting both English and Welsh speakers throughout its programming to ensure total accessibility. It's also a convention with a big heart; in its inaugural year alone, it successfully raised over £700 for the Maesteg Animal Welfare Society, cementing its dedication to giving back to the local community!
