Furlandia 2027 is scheduled for May 7-9, 2027 at Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront. The announced theme is Ready Furry One.
Furlandia is a furry convention in Portland, Oregon. It grew from 2,060 attendees in 2024 to 2,724 in 2025, then to a record 4,395 in 2026, making it the largest furry convention in the Pacific Northwest. The 2027 edition moves to the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront and out of its long-standing Memorial Day slot.
Furlandia 2027 runs May 7 to 9, 2027 under the theme "Ready Furry One" (a play on Ready Player One), and it moves to the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront at 1401 SW Naito Parkway. Two things change at once: the venue crosses the river from the Oregon Convention Center district to the downtown waterfront, and the weekend leaves Memorial Day for early May.
Registration is open. An Attending badge is $60 until January 1, 2027, then $70 pre-registered and $80 at the door; Sponsor is $150 and Patron is $250, both pre-registration only. Single day passes will be sold at the door and have not been priced. A T-shirt adds $30 and the con book $10.
Guests of Honor and the 2027 charity partner have not been announced, and the convention says only "More information to come" about the new venue, so hotel rates and a room block are still to come. Watch furlandia.org and the official Bluesky for those.
Furlandia reflects the creative culture of Portland. Having outgrown two venues in three years, it now sits on the downtown waterfront, a short walk from the city centre rather than out by the convention centre.

Admittance to Furlandia 2027 for all three days. The 60 USD rate holds until 1 January 2027, after which pre-registration is 70 USD and a badge bought at the door is 80 USD.

Single day passes will be sold at the door and the convention has not priced them. Optional add-ons at registration are a T-shirt for 30 USD and the con book for 10 USD.
Portland International Airport (PDX) is the gateway airport. The 2027 venue is on the downtown waterfront at 1401 SW Naito Parkway, not at the Oregon Convention Center, so the airport-to-venue route that served earlier editions no longer applies and the convention has not yet published travel directions for the new site. Portland Union Station (Amtrak) and the Greyhound/FlixBus stop are both downtown. For rideshare, Lyft is the dominant service in Portland, with Uber and Radiocab taxis also available, and Biketown bikesharing covers the central city.
The previous venue, the Hyatt Regency Portland, sat directly at the Convention Center MAX stop on the Red, Blue and Green lines, 15 minutes from PDX on the Red Line at $2.80 for a 2.5-hour pass. That guidance describes editions through 2026.

For 2027 the convention hotel is the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, at 1401 SW Naito Parkway, Portland, OR 97201. Furlandia has named the hotel and nothing else: its own location page reads "More information to come", so there is no published room rate, booking code, block deadline or parking price for this edition yet. Do not plan a room off last year's numbers, and check the convention's own site before booking.
For reference, the 2026 edition ran at the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, where the block started at $175 a night under code G-FL21, self-parking was $35 a night and the block ran May 18 to 28, 2026. Those terms belong to that hotel and that edition.

Furlandia 2026 set a record with 4,395 attendees (+61% YoY) under the "Wild Wild Furry West" theme. Guests of Honor: Jonah Scott (English voice of Louis in Beastars), Kyell Gold, and Griffin Puatu. The convention raised $6,653 for The Pixie Project and produced two notable community moments: the "discovery" of 20 unclaimed rooms in the host hotel block, and a packed pup-play panel that turned attendees away.
Furlandia 2025 drew 2,724 attendees at the Hyatt Regency Portland, a 32% jump from the previous year's 2,060. Guests of honor included IBOLT and GrAypAwW.

Furlandia shares a parent nonprofit with a 35-year sci-fi convention
Furlandia is produced by RAIn (Rainier Anthropomorphic Information), a 501(c)(3) Pacific-Northwest non-profit, and it is not the only thing under that umbrella. RAIn also lists Rustycon, which it describes as "a science fiction & fantasy convention that has been a staple of the Seattle area for over 35 years", alongside SpokAnthro and two annual social events. A furry convention and a decades-old mainstream sci-fi convention run by the same board is an unusual arrangement in the fandom, and it means Furlandia's organisers carry con-running experience from well outside furry events.
The strictest media policy in the Pacific Northwest
Furlandia runs one of the firmest press policies in the North American furry-con calendar. Every attendee badge doubles as a press-conduct agreement: "Attendees purchasing a membership agree not to act as media agents in any way, shape, or form," and any photographic, audio, or video recording for investigative or commercial purposes is forbidden without prior staff approval.
The Hyatt grants Furlandia a head-covering exemption
Furlandia''s 2026 move to the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center put the convention''s main entrance directly across from a MAX light-rail station, but it also placed fursuiters inside a hotel whose house policy is "no head coverings." The convention moves again for 2027, to the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, and has not said whether the same arrangement carries over.
