From attendees
Portland International Airport (PDX) is the gateway airport, located about 15 minutes from the venue. From PDX, take the MAX Red Line light rail directly to the Convention Center stop, which is right outside the Hyatt Regency. The fare is $2.80 for a 2.5-hour pass, payable via tap-to-pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Alternatively, take Bus 292 from the airport to Multnomah & 3rd and walk south.
Portland's light rail system puts the hotel at the intersection of the Red, Blue, and Green MAX lines, with the Yellow Line a few blocks away. A Loop and B Loop streetcars and Biketown bikesharing stations are also nearby. For rideshare, Lyft is the dominant service in Portland, with Uber and Radiocab taxis also available.
Arriving by train? Portland Union Station (Amtrak) and the Greyhound/FlixBus stop are just one MAX stop away from the convention center.
The convention hotel is the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, at 375 NE Holladay St, Portland, OR 97232. Room rates start at $175/night (plus taxes and fees) through the convention block. Use booking code G-FL21 on the Hyatt website or the link on the Furlandia site. The $25/night destination fee is waived when booking through the convention link.
Parking at the hotel is $35/night for standard self-parking or $45/night for valet. The room block reservation deadline is April 30, and the block covers dates from May 18 through May 28, 2026. A credit or debit card is required at check-in (the hotel operates cashless).

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
Furlandia shares a parent nonprofit with a 35-year sci-fi convention
Furlandia is produced by RAIn (Rainier Anthropomorphic Information), a 501(c)(3) Pacific-Northwest non-profit, and it is not the only thing under that umbrella. RAIn also lists Rustycon, which it describes as "a science fiction & fantasy convention that has been a staple of the Seattle area for over 35 years", alongside SpokAnthro and two annual social events. A furry convention and a decades-old mainstream sci-fi convention run by the same board is an unusual arrangement in the fandom, and it means Furlandia's organisers carry con-running experience from well outside furry events.
The strictest media policy in the Pacific Northwest
Furlandia runs one of the firmest press policies in the North American furry-con calendar. Every attendee badge doubles as a press-conduct agreement: "Attendees purchasing a membership agree not to act as media agents in any way, shape, or form," and any photographic, audio, or video recording for investigative or commercial purposes is forbidden without prior staff approval.
The Hyatt grants Furlandia a head-covering exemption
Furlandia''s 2026 move to the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center put the convention''s main entrance directly across from a MAX light-rail station, but it also placed fursuiters inside a hotel whose house policy is "no head coverings."
