Furvana runs every other year, and its next edition is September 9-12, 2027 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center, per the convention's own 2027 page. There is no 2026 edition. The theme, guests of honor, charity and ticket prices for 2027 have not been published, and registration has not opened.

Furvana 2025 reached 1,291 attendees at its Ocean Shores venue. The event raised $16,500 for SeaLife Response + Rehab + Research and featured Guests of Honor ShawnTheGirl and Al Song.

Published tsunami evacuation doctrine with NOAA radio frequencies
Ocean Shores sits on the open Pacific coast within the Cascadia subduction zone tsunami evacuation area. Furvana publishes a full government-style tsunami procedure in its safety brief: specific KXRO and KXXO AM/FM radio frequencies, NOAA weather-radio bands, and 50-100 ft elevation targets for inland muster.
SR³ marine wildlife hospital with 100% donation pass-through
Furvana''s charity partner is SR³ (SeaLife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research), described as the Pacific Northwest''s only marine-wildlife hospital, with active monitoring programs for Southern Resident orca pod health. Furvana publishes a stated 100% donation pass-through policy, every cent collected at the charity table goes to SR³, no operational overhead is deducted.
Biennial cadence with no host hotel: town-wide scattered lodging
Furvana runs biennially (2019, 2021, 2023, 2025, 2027), there is no annual edition. The Ocean Shores Convention Center does not include lodging, so the con has no host hotel at all, attendees scatter across the resort town's hotels, motels and vacation-rental condos and use the 800-space municipal parking lot. The mid-cycle Shilo Inn closure triggered an organiser refund offer for the affected attendees.
