The day rates here are PRORATED rather than single-day passes - each one buys full access from the day you arrive to the end, which is why Thursday costs more than Sunday rather than less. VIP at 1,550 includes three paid hotel nights, so most of that gap is lodging. A Maid Cafe ticket included in a badge has to be collected from the con store BEFORE the fursuit parade or it is released for resale. Howloween accepts the Easter Seals Canada Access 2 card toward the Attending tier and offers early badge pickup with it. Government photo ID is required to collect any badge. Refunds are full within 30 days of payment and generally unavailable after that, though a registration can be transferred once, like-for-like, before pre-registration closes. For ages 0 to 12 the minor registers free while the guardian pays; from 13 to 15 both pay.

Howloween 2025 reached a record 1,544 attendees in Richmond, BC. The "Silver Screams!" themed event raised $4,610 for the BC SPCA and featured Satire The Sheep as Guest of Honor.

Howl Events BC Association, distinct from VancouFur's BCAEA
The two BC furcons people regularly conflate (Howloween + VancouFur) are actually run by two different BC Societies-Act non-profits. VancouFur is the British Columbia Anthropomorphic Events Association (BCAEA), while Howloween is Howl Events BC Association, the copyright line on every page of the 2025 archive site.
Four venues in 23 years, ending at a hotel by the airport
The con has moved through four venues over 23 years, each move with a documented reason: Best Western Coquitlam Inn & Convention Centre (2003-2006) → Compass Point Inn (2008-2010) → Executive Hotel & Conference Centre, Burnaby (2011-2021) → Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport, Richmond (2022-present).
After Dark Market: government-photo-ID-checked third vendor area
Howloween is branded "all-ages" but runs a separately-walled After Dark Market as a third vendor space, Fri/Sat 9pm-1am inside the same con, gated by badge AND valid government-issued photo ID check at entry. "Restricted to attendees aged 18 and over. You will be required to present valid government-issued photo ID to enter the After Dark Market space."
