Fluffy New Year (FNY)

Fluffy New Year (FNY) is a new furry convention over New Year in Lünen, about 20 km north of Dortmund in Germany. It is organized by EmsPaws e. V., a furry association from the Emsland, together with the OWL furries. Attendees stay, eat and celebrate the turn of the year together at the DJH Jugendherberge Cappenberger See, a youth hostel by a lake.

2026: The First Fluffy New Year

The first Fluffy New Year runs from December 30, 2026 to January 2, 2027. Tickets include your room, meals and soft drinks, so the convention works like an all-inclusive New Year trip. Three-night tickets start on December 30, and two-night tickets start on December 31. The organizers also mention fireworks to see in 2027.

Why Attend?

Fluffy New Year is built around one evening: New Year's Eve with other furs. Everything happens in one renovated youth hostel, with the sleeping rooms in a building next to the main hall. Meals are included, and the drinks fountain and soft drinks are free. It is a small, first-year event, which makes it easy to meet people.

What Are the Highlights of Fluffy New Year?

• Music stage: Stage events, discos and club evenings run on the music stage, with a EUR 5 Stage Pass.
• Panels and activities: Attendees can hold their own panels or talks by asking in the FNY chat.
• Dealers den and artist alley: Makers and artists apply through an online form, and space is limited.
• Snack swap: The organizers put out basic snacks and invite everyone to bring more to share.
• Games and chill areas: The ticket covers a games corner and creative and chill areas.
• Door signs: For EUR 10 the organizers print your door sign in A3 and hand it over at check-in.

Where Should I Stay for Fluffy New Year?

You stay at the convention. Every ticket includes a bed in a double room or a three or four-bed room, and every room has its own bathroom with a shower. The sleeping building has 20 rooms with 68 beds. If more than 70 people register, the organizers open 22 more rooms in the main building.
