Patas (Patas) 2026 is scheduled for Dec 11-13, 2026 in Sorocaba, Brazil. The announced theme is GameFur.
Patas is a charity-format furry convention held in Sorocaba, São Paulo state, Brazil. It offers a full hotel-takeover experience as a smaller, community-driven alternative to Brazil's larger events like Brasil FurFest, with a portion of every ticket funding social projects in the Sorocaba region.
The next edition runs December 11-13, 2026 at the Sorocaba Park Hotel by Atlantica with the "GameFur" theme. The schedule (published on /en/sobre-cronograma/) leans into gaming-centric programming alongside the standard convention pillars: a main amphitheater for ceremonies and shows, a dedicated Fursuit Lounge in the Bandeirante Room, Just Dance / RPG / TCG / board game spaces running all weekend, late-night DJ "Balloon Party" blocks, plus Artist Alley and Artroom for live commissions and merch. Guest of honour lineup and 2026 charity recipient list are still TBA at time of writing.
Sorocaba is about 100 km west of São Paulo city. The two most practical routes:
Curated stays near Sorocaba Park Hotel by Atlantica, Sorocaba, Brazil.
The Sorocaba Park Hotel by Atlantica is the convention venue, and it doubles as the most convenient lodging, with 100 rooms across five floors, with Single/Double Premium, Triple/Quadruple (with an internal divider for privacy), and a Royal Suite with a jacuzzi. Every room has air conditioning, 42" TV, free Wi-Fi, mini fridge, electric kettle, electronic safe, hair dryer, and a work desk. The hotel runs the Pórtico restaurant with a complimentary breakfast buffet for guests (6:00 to 10:30 AM weekends), plus an indoor bar, a pool bar, a cafeteria, an outdoor pool, Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, gym, and game room.
Patas attendees get an exclusive 20% discount when booking through the official Patas booking link only. Third-party platforms like Booking.com or Decolar do not qualify for the discount or for the Patas room block. December is high season in Sorocaba, so it pays to book early.
Patas held a 2025 edition in Sorocaba, a small gathering built around social events for the regional Brazilian furry community. The organizers have not published an attendance figure for it, and we have not found one on any of their own channels, so we do not have a number to give.

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
Social Entry is the default ticket: 1 kg of food, not cash
Patas inverts the usual charity-con formula. Their copy explicitly labels the R$ 350 "Social Entry" tier "the convention's intended ticket price" - it requires 1 kg of sealed, in-date non-perishable food delivered at check-in on the first attendance day, redistributed through local NGOs chosen by the organizers. The R$ 600 "Full Ticket" is reframed as a voluntary cash upgrade for attendees who want to give more, and the R$ 300 Half-Price tier is the legally mandated discount (Brazilian Law 12.933/2013) for students with valid ID, seniors over 60, people with disabilities, and CadÚnico-registered youth. Forget the donation as a separate fundraising bucket: at Patas, the cans of food ARE the ticket everyone is supposed to bring.
Free companion badge for parents, including parents of adult attendees
Most furcons comp a guardian badge only when an attendee is a minor. Patas' rules go further: any paying attendee, regardless of age, can register a father, mother, or legal guardian to walk the convention alongside them at no charge. The "companion" badge grants access to the convention center and the Fursuit Lounge but explicitly excludes interactive activities, awards, and official photos, it's there for family members who want to see what the fandom looks like up close, not for plus-ones. Parents must be registered at purchase time and must present original ID at check-in to claim the comp.
Stacking Bronze→Diamond packages layer on top of any entry tier
Patas separates the entry ticket from the experience uplift, you pick one entry tier (Half-Price R$ 300, Social Entry R$ 350, or Full Ticket R$ 600) and then optionally stack a Bronze (included) / Silver (+R$ 150) / Gold (+R$ 350) / Diamond (+R$ 1,100) experience package on top. A fully kitted Diamond on top of a Full Ticket totals R$ 1,700 BRL, and the structural quirk is that the legally mandated Half-Price tier (Brazilian Law 12.933/2013, students / 60+ / PWD / CadÚnico youth) can stack the same Diamond uplift, the discount applies to the entry only, not the experience tier. The first five Diamond buyers each year get their personal banner displayed at the event, making the top tier a named-recognition uplift rather than a swag uplift. The two-axis ladder (entry × experience) is structurally distinct from the usual Brazilian furcon single-ladder model.
