Wüellas FurFest 2026 | Santiago Furry Convention Guide (WüFF) 2026 is scheduled for Oct 30-Nov 1, 2026 in Santiago, Chile. The announced theme is Magical Fauna.
Wüellas FurFest (WüFF) is a furry art and convention project based in Santiago, Chile. It is internationally recognized for celebrating the colors, folklore, and heritage of Chilean culture, bringing native wildlife and everyday Chilean life to life through anthropomorphic characters. The event combines visual art, regional storytelling, and convention programming.
Wüellas FurFest returns October 30, 31, and November 1, 2026 with the theme "Magical Fauna," a visual project inspired by Chilean animals and local culture. The theme continues WüFF's signature approach of spotlighting native fauna and folklore.
The 2026 edition takes place at Radisson Blu Plaza El Bosque, a modern hotel in the Las Condes commune close to Parque Araucano and several shopping centers. Wüellas FurFest is strictly an 18+ event: registration requires legal-name and Chilean ID verification, and badges must be worn visibly at all times inside the venue.
Wüellas FurFest stands out for its strong cultural identity. Rather than mirroring the format of North American or European cons, WüFF foregrounds Chilean folklore, wildlife, and regional storytelling, giving the event a distinct artistic voice. The convention grew out of Wüellas, an independent Chilean graphic-art project that builds original characters around the country's native fauna, so the festival feels like a live extension of an existing visual-identity brand not just a generic furry weekend. For furries in Chile and the wider Southern Cone, it offers a homegrown gathering that celebrates local heritage while connecting with the global fandom.
By air: The main gateway is Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL) in Santiago, served by domestic and international flights. From the airport, rideshare or an official airport taxi is the most direct route to Las Condes, where the host hotel sits on Av. Manquehue Norte.
By car: Santiago is well connected by highway, and rideshare apps operate widely across the metropolitan area. Radisson Blu Plaza El Bosque is on Av. Manquehue Norte 656 in Las Condes, accessible from the city's main arteries.
By transit: Santiago's Metro is extensive and reliable. The Manquehue and Escuela Militar stations on Line 1 are the closest to the host hotel, making public transit a practical option for getting around the city.

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
ALICANTO tier ladder named for a Chilean luminous-feathered mythological bird
Wüellas FurFest brands its four-tier entry ladder ALICANTO, after the Chilean mythological luminous-feathered bird of Atacama miner folklore, not a generic Bronze-through-Platinum stack. Levels run Iron → Bronze → Silver → Gold, escalating from Starter Goodies through a Mystery Package, a Mythic Shirt at Silver, and Legendary Clothing at Gold, with Gold also unlocking Pre-Entry and Fast-Pass. CLP prices aren't shipped in the public Vite/React bundle (they're runtime-fetched from the registration backend), and payment is Mercado Pago Chile-only, no dual-currency or international checkout, distinct from Santiago peer SAFE.
Started as a Chilean-fauna character-art project, festival is the extension
Most furcons start as community meetups that grow a brand. Wüellas began the other way around, as an independent graphic-art project building original characters from Chilean native fauna (foxes, snakes, birds, goats, even living clothes and furniture as "fantastic treasures of Chile"), and the festival is the live extension of that visual-identity brand. It's organised by Wuellas Eventos SpA (RUT 78.213.212-1, Ñuñoa), and the brand name itself is the Spanish huellas (footprint, pawprint, trace) with the "Hu-" rewritten "Wü-" to mirror the romanization style of Chile's indigenous peoples; the site publishes the phonetic key /ˈwe.ʎas/.
Eight-con cooperator block spanning three continents at year three
WüFF publicly cooperates with eight peer cons across three continents at edition three: Japan's JMoF, Spain's Ibercon, USA's Anthro New Mexico, Peru's Fur Raymi, Anthro Party Argentina, plus Chilean siblings Pawstral, FLUFF, and Serena Furs. The block is published on the official site as a cooperator panel rather than a sister-con discount mechanism, there's no reciprocal badge discount or attendee perk wired through, it reads as editorial endorsement and regional alignment instead. Programming itself runs across twelve named axes (Karaoke, Talks, Video Games, Competitions, Workshops, Rave, Drawings, Photos, Dealer's Den, Tours, Auction, Charity).
