The inaugural HowlCon ran 15-17 May 2026 at Hotel Corregidor under the "Oro & Sangre" theme, drawing 209 attendees, confirmed in HowlCore's post-event Telegram recap on 24 May. Sunday closed with a Parade that walked one block from the hotel through Plaza San Martín, La Plata's principal civic square. La Plata's Secretaría de Cultura followed up the next week with a formal letter of recognition for HowlCore. The capped Pase Hooowl top tier sold out before broader public ticketing opened, with holders wearing flower crowns and the year-1 Badge super especial. Headline weekend programming included La Gran Subasta (charity auction), the Comp. de Canto (La-Voz-style singing competition), the Comp. de Baile, the HowlMarket artist alley, and a Sunday-evening 3DS Meetup featuring retro 3DS-camera fursuit photos. Super-Sponsor and Hooowl t-shirts were delayed past the con due to a DTF print supplier quality failure; HowlCore is coordinating individual delivery in the weeks after.
HowlCore was founded by Ren Blake in early March 2025 with the goal of launching HowlCon'26. Its first public outing was HowlFest'25, a sold-out furry nightclub night at La Plata on 13 September 2025, where HowlCon'26 was first announced from the stage. Between September and May the org tripled its team size and locked the Hotel Corregidor venue and tier ladder for the inaugural edition.

Pase Hooowl: a capped flower-crown tier that sold out before the door opened
HowlCon's tier ladder tops out with the Pase Hooowl, a capped sponsor tier the site marked ¡Agotado! (sold out) before broader public ticketing opened. Unlike the open-NYP "name your minimum" model some US cons use, Hooowl is a hard-capped allocation with a perk bundle no other tier gets: Pre Check-In, the full 3-of-3 Conbook cover-art set, a Corona floral (flower crown) worn through the weekend, and what the site calls a "Badge super especial."
Dual-currency tier ladder with 12-cuotas Mercado Pago
Argentina's inflation environment shows up in the ticket ladder. The cheapest tier, Pase Unitario, ~$50,000 ARS, is priced explicitly "según el valor del dólar" (per the floating exchange rate) for domestic attendees. Sponsor tiers (General $75 / Sponsor $105 / Super-Sponsor $135 USD) are priced in dollars to insulate international buyers from peso volatility.
