Furcamp is a Brazilian outdoor furry convention that moves to Acampamento Aruanã in Embu-Guaçu, in the São Paulo metropolitan area, for its 2027 edition. Rather than a hotel setting, the event uses a campground with dormitory-style housing and communal meals, typically scheduled around Brazil's Carnival season in February.
Held around Brazil's Carnival season, the convention replaces traditional panel rooms with the Brazilian countryside.
The next edition is confirmed for February 5-9, 2027 at Acampamento Aruanã in Embu-Guaçu, a move away from the 2026 site at Acampamento Terra do Saber, under the "Galactic Groove!" theme. Furcamp does not run a Guest of Honor program; instead, part of the social-ticket price funds tree-seedling reforestation. Communal meals, team challenges (gincanas), and outdoor activities across the Atlantic Forest campground anchor the format. Watch furcamp.com and the official Telegram for ticket release dates.
Whether sleeping in the camping areas or the dormitory-style housing, the event centers on connection. With communal meals and outdoor social events, it offers a bonding experience within reach of São Paulo.

The price for 2027 has not been announced. The figure is from 2026, for reference only, so check the convention's own site before you budget.

The convention names Congonhas Airport (CGH) in São Paulo as its recommended arrival point for the 2027 edition, and says you can reach Embu-Guaçu from there by ride-hailing app, private car or public transport. São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) is the larger international gateway if you are flying in from outside Brazil, but it sits on the far side of the metropolitan area.
Furcamp also plans to run an optional transfer service by bus or van, with prices and pickup details announced ahead of the event on the official Telegram group and by email. There is no direct public transit to the campground gate, so a coordinated group ride is the usual approach; check the Furcamp Telegram group for carpools.

This is a camping convention, and accommodation is bundled into the ticket rather than booked separately. The 2027 venue is Acampamento Aruanã, which the convention describes as carrying its own accommodation, meals and activity infrastructure. Rooms are not picked at purchase: selection opens in mid-December through Furcamp's Room Release System, in ticket-tier order, with higher tiers choosing first.
Bring your own sheet, blanket and pillow, or rent a bedding kit on site. The campsite has 100 kits available and prices are announced in advance, so request one early if you want one. Five meals a day are included and the site runs its own kitchen; tell the organisers about dietary restrictions ahead of time.

Furcamp 2026 drew 171 attendees to the Acampamento Terra do Saber in Cajamar for a pirate-themed weekend, running February 14-17 during Carnival season. The event featured team challenges (gincanas), communal dining, and outdoor activities across the Atlantic Forest campground.
Furcamp did not run an edition in 2025. The organizer's history calls it a hiatus used to prepare the next gathering, so it was a planned pause rather than a cancellation.
Furcamp 2024 ran February 10-13 at Parque Estadual Intervales under the Neon Nights theme and drew 126 participants.
Furcamp 2023 ran February 18-21 at Parque Estadual Intervales under The Machine Revolution theme and drew 112 participants.

Year-running Houses & Gincana scoreboard, Hogwarts-style
FurCamp runs a year-running houses meta with a published scoreboard, the homepage uses the phrasing "qual casa venceu" (which house won) confirming a multi-edition standings table that crosses editions rather than resetting yearly.
Booked into an evangelical Christian retreat camp
Acampamento Terra do Saber, the 2026 venue, is normally an evangelical Christian retreat camp founded in 2001, with capacity for 190 overnight guests and 1,000 daytime visitors. The relocation broke a four-edition run at Parque Estadual Intervales (São Paulo state park, 2019-2024) and is itself temporary: 2027 moves to Acampamento Aruanã in Embu-Guaçu rather than returning to either prior site.
Ticket-funded reforestation in lieu of charity beneficiary
FurCamp doesn''t run a single named charity partner, instead, part of the social-ticket price funds tree-seedling reforestation as a built-in line item. The mechanic fits the camping format (the venue is inside the Atlantic Forest) which is why no separate charity or fundraising total is published: the donation is part of the ticket rather than a campaign run on top of it.
