PAWAI (PAWAI) 2026 is scheduled for Oct 3-4, 2026 at Hotel Grand Istana Rama. The announced theme is Gods Paradise. Guest of honor information lists Agitype01.
PAWAI, short for Party Along With Anthro Indonesia, is a separate Anthro Indonesia event in Bali. It is not the same event as IWAG. The brand, dates, venue, and official site all point to a distinct convention weekend with its own identity.
The official site currently lists October 3-4, 2026 for PAWAI 2026: Gods Paradise, with the event set at Hotel Grand Istana Rama in Kuta, Bali. That resort setting is a clear shift from IWAG's Greater Jakarta hotel model and is part of why the split matters.
For attendees, PAWAI looks like the more destination-style Indonesian option. Bali changes the travel math, the mood, and probably the social rhythm of the event even before programming details are filled in. If IWAG is the Jakarta-area anchor, PAWAI is the separate Bali branch that deserves its own listing.
Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali is about 4 km from Hotel Grand Istana Rama in Kuta, making the transfer roughly 15 minutes by taxi or ride-hailing service. Grab and local taxis are both available at the airport. For international attendees, Bali has direct flights from many Asian hub cities, and the short distance between the airport and the venue makes arrival logistics simple.
Curated stays near Hotel Grand Istana Rama, Kuta, Indonesia.
Hotel Grand Istana Rama is the convention venue itself and the most convenient place to stay. The hotel is a four-star resort in central Kuta, close to the beach and surrounded by restaurants and shops. If the convention hotel is fully booked, the wider Kuta area has dozens of hotels and guesthouses at a range of price points, all within easy reach of the venue.
PAWAI continued its series of successful Bali gatherings in 2025, focusing on creator networking and community building. These events solidified the regional presence ahead of the 2026 "Gods Paradise" iteration.

Same parent org as IWAG, separate convention
PT Anthro Indonesia Consortium runs both PAWAI and IWAG, but the two are different conventions, different weekends, brands, venues, themes, and audiences. PAWAI traces back to 2018 and is the Bali resort weekend with the Gods Paradise theme. IWAG traces back to a 2017 winter furmeet (IWFM) and is the Greater Jakarta urban-hotel weekend with the Electric Dreams cyberpunk theme. Both sell tickets through the same in-house Community platform on anthro.id, but that is the shared operational backbone, not a sign the events are twinned.
Destination beach resort, not an urban hotel furcon
Hotel Grand Istana Rama is a four-star Kuta beach resort on Jl. Pantai Kuta, about 4 km from Ngurah Rai International (DPS). That puts PAWAI in a category most regional Southeast Asian furcons skip, Bangkok Beasts, Infurnity, and Furry Tea Party all use urban hotels or convention centers in major cities. PAWAI is built around the Bali destination itself, with the official hero opening on "Om Swasiastu," the Balinese Hindu greeting, before any program detail. The venue is the brand, not just where the brand happens.
In-house anthro.id ticketing instead of a third-party platform
PAWAI sells tickets through PT Anthro Indonesia Consortium's own Community platform on anthro.id rather than routing through Peatix, Eventbrite, RegFox, or any other third-party service. That is structurally distinct from most regional Asian furcons (Japanese cons default to Peatix, Taiwanese cons use KKTIX, Western cons mostly use ConCat or RegFox), and it means the same login carries across both PAWAI and the sibling IWAG weekend. Marketing assets are served from canine.cdn.anthro.id and the marketing site itself is a single Mantine plus Next.js page with no /about, /tnc, or /participate routes, the registration flow lives entirely on the Community platform rather than being inlined on pawai.id.
