FURUM (Furs Upon Malaysia) has been running since 2015 and drew 1,600 attendees in 2025 at the Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya in Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur. For its 10th-anniversary FURUM X edition the convention moves to the M World Hotel Petaling Jaya, next to the 1 Utama mall. It functions as the primary furry convention for the Southeast Asian (ASEAN) region, with charity efforts supporting organizations like the Katzen Cat Sanctuary.
Located in Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur, the convention draws international attendance from across the region. With a focus on regional integration, the December 11-13, 2026 edition continues to serve as a networking and social hub for the ASEAN circuit.
Guided by their mascots Slappy The Tiger, Sunny The Bear, and Loaf Cat, the convention runs a varied schedule. Attendees fill the Dealer's Den and Fursuit Lounge alongside educational seminars, party games, karaoke, and community dances.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is the main international gateway, located about 35 km from the M World Hotel in Petaling Jaya. The drive takes around 45 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis, Grab (the regional rideshare app), and airport shuttle services all run between KUL and the hotel. Subang Airport (SZB), also known as Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, is closer at about 12 km (roughly 20 minutes) and handles some domestic and short-haul regional flights.
The M World Hotel sits in the Bandar Utama area next to the 1 Utama shopping mall, Malaysia's second-largest, with bus and rideshare access throughout the Klang Valley. The nearest LRT/MRT stop is Bandar Utama (MRT Kajang Line), connecting directly to central Kuala Lumpur.

Australian artist Jerry served as Guest of Honor, with the Dealer's Den hosted at the nearby Sheraton Petaling Jaya. The convention raised funds for the Katzen Cat Sanctuary. Tickets ran a 4-tier ladder topped by a RM 2,000 "Captain" tier that bundled a 4-day Hotel Armada premium-deluxe room with badge delivery. The event ran December 13-14.

Founder-as-GoH for the 10th anniversary
FURUM X's Guest of Honor is Silverfox (Yee Chong), the Malaysian artist who has co-run FURUM since the very first 2015 gathering. Rather than recruit an external headliner for the 10-year mark, the team brought their own founder-illustrator back as GoH, framing FURUM X as "a grand journey through the ages" through the eyes of the person who drew its mascots and posters from day one. Silverfox is best known outside the con for illustrating Shadow Squirrel Games' card battler Fuzzy Mage Fight and for the distinctive sparkly-eyed cute-character style that has shaped every FURUM conbook since the inaugural edition.
Venue change after a decade: Armada PJ out, M World Hotel in
FURUM ran at Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya from 2015-2025, ten consecutive editions at the same property. For FURUM X (Dec 11-13, 2026) the convention moves to M World Hotel Petaling Jaya, next to the 1 Utama mall (Malaysia's second-largest), and drops the previous top tier's bundled-room model. The 2025 RM 2,000 "Captain" tier included a 4-day Armada premium-deluxe room with badge delivery; the 2026 ladder is flat Standard/Sponsor/Super/Ultra at RM 150/400/720/1,380 with no room bundle.
Ultra Sponsor unlocks queueless dealer-den re-entry, not just faster access
The 2026 Ultra Sponsor tier (RM 1,380) grants queueless re-entry to the dealer's den, a 1st-priority pass that drops the wait between visits rather than just buying earlier first entry. Standard tickets are 13+, under-15 attendees must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and 15-17 require a signed parental-consent form on file, the all-ages framing comes with structural age gates.
