MYFurCon (MYFur) 2027 is scheduled for Apr 24-25, 2027 at Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya. The announced theme is FurGear.
MYFurCon, often shortened to MyFur, is a Malaysian furry convention with a live official site for 2026 even though some of the practical details are still thin in public.
The official site already confirms the MYFurCon 2026 branding as MYFur's Got Talent. Current community-calendar research points to May 2, 2026 for the event, but the public venue details are not yet published clearly enough to lock in the final hotel with confidence.
That is still enough for a directory page. The event has its own official domain, a distinct 2026 theme, and a clear Malaysia identity. For Southeast Asia coverage, that is better handled as a real standalone page than as a stray note buried in a region guide.

From attendees
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is the main gateway, with direct flights from major cities across Asia, Europe, and Oceania. From the airport, the KLIA Ekspres train reaches KL Sentral in about 28 minutes, and from there the city's LRT, MRT, and monorail lines connect to most areas of the city. Grab (the regional ride-hailing app) is widely used and affordable for getting around.

Kuala Lumpur offers a broad range of hotels from budget hostels to international chains, with many clustered around the Bukit Bintang and KL Sentral areas. Since the final venue has not been announced yet, staying in a central location with good transit access is the safest approach. Room rates in KL tend to be very affordable compared to other Asian capitals.
MYFurCon is a new convention debuting in 2026. No prior editions have been held.

Talent-show tier ladder
MYFurCon's three ticket tiers are named after the inaugural theme, not a generic bronze / silver / gold: Contestant (RM 60), Idol (RM 120), and Superstar (RM 240). The top Superstar tier ships a literal talent-show buzzer plus a limited-edition Mylo acrylic standee, a MYFur's Got Talent T-shirt, a custom-icon con badge, a conbook shoutout, and front-row positioning for the group photo. Idol drops the buzzer and the standee but keeps the T-shirt and custom badge. Walk-in registration is available on the day via Ticket2U but only at the Contestant tier, the paid perks above it cannot be bought on-site, and custom names + attendee numbers on the badge had a hard March 8, 2026 cutoff for anyone registering after.
Two cons, one dealer-den
Malaysia now has two furcons, and they are openly cooperating. MYFurCon's debut GoH lineup is headlined by CT Wolf, the chairman and co-founder of FURUM, the country's first large-scale furry convention, alongside Singapore-based veteran Blu. Both cons also share the Paws & Pencils dealer-den brand, so the same dealer apparatus serves Malaysia's two events rather than each con bootstrapping its own. The structural signal matters: instead of splitting the small Southeast Asian fursuiter pool, MYFur and FURUM are deliberately running on shared infrastructure.
Explicit family-friendly policy
MYFurCon publishes an unusually specific SFW framing rather than the generic "all-ages" line most furcons use. The FAQ bans "nudity, sexual themes, and fetish wear (such as spandex / latex, pup masks, and harnesses)" by name. Government-issued ID is required at badge pickup, badge sharing triggers confiscation and ejection without refund, and ticket transfers, resales, or cancellations are not permitted even when Ticket2U technically allows them. Under-18 attendees need a signed Parent Guardian Consent Form emailed to MYFur in advance alongside the Ticket2U receipt; under-15s additionally must be accompanied on-site.
