MYFurCon, often shortened to MyFur, is a Malaysian furry convention with a live official site for 2026 even though some of the practical details are still thin in public.
MYFurCon returns as a two-day convention on April 24-25, 2027 at Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya, under the FurGear theme, per the official homepage. It follows a single-day inaugural edition that drew 500 attendees, so 2027 is the first time the event runs across a weekend.
The 2027 ticket ladder is published and runs Kapcai RM 110, Satria RM 280, Perdana RM 500 and Limousine RM 2,000, the last bundling four days and three nights at Hotel Armada. Registration opens on 16 September 2026 at 4pm through ConCat, and every tier reads "coming soon" until then. Guests of honour and the charity partner have not been announced.

Registration opens on 16 September 2026 at 4pm, so every tier still reads "coming soon" and the figures above are the prices the convention has announced rather than prices anyone has been able to buy yet. Sales run through ConCat, which needs an account created in advance. The top Limousine tier bundles a four-day hotel stay at Hotel Armada, so it is not a like-for-like rung above the others. Attendees aged 13 to 15 need a signed consent form and a guardian on site, and 16 to 17 year olds a signed consent form, emailed to the convention or handed over at badge collection rather than uploaded to ConCat.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is the main gateway, with direct flights from major cities across Asia, Europe, and Oceania. From the airport, the KLIA Ekspres train reaches KL Sentral in about 28 minutes, and from there the city's LRT, MRT, and monorail lines connect to most areas of the city. Grab (the regional ride-hailing app) is widely used and affordable for getting around.

Kuala Lumpur offers a broad range of hotels from budget hostels to international chains, with many clustered around the Bukit Bintang and KL Sentral areas. The 2027 venue is Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya, so a room there or along the nearby LRT line keeps the commute short; central Kuala Lumpur is about 25 minutes away by rail. Room rates in KL tend to be very affordable compared to other Asian capitals.

The inaugural MYFurCon ran as a single-day event on May 2, 2026 at Dorsett Grand Subang, branded MYFur's Got Talent and built around a literal talent-show format with Contestant, Idol and Superstar tier names. Guests of honour were CT Wolf and Blu. The community calendar's post-event listing reported 500 attendees with 160 fursuiters, a strong debut for a Malaysian convention alongside the larger FURUM.

The ticket tiers are renamed for every theme
MYFurCon does not run a generic bronze / silver / gold ladder: its tiers are renamed for whatever the year's theme is. The inaugural talent-show edition sold Contestant, Idol and Superstar, and the top tier shipped a literal talent-show buzzer. The 2027 ladder rebuilds the same shape around Malaysian road vehicles, from the Kapcai moped through Satria and Perdana to Limousine, and that top rung is the one carrying a four-day stay at the host hotel rather than merch. Custom badge icons start at the second rung in both years, so the named tiers are where a personalised badge comes from.
Two cons, one dealer-den
Malaysia now has two furcons, and they are openly cooperating. MYFurCon's debut GoH lineup is headlined by CT Wolf, the chairman and co-founder of FURUM, the country's first large-scale furry convention, alongside Singapore-based veteran Blu. Both cons also share the Paws & Pencils dealer-den brand, so the same dealer apparatus serves Malaysia's two events rather than each con bootstrapping its own. The structural signal matters: instead of splitting the small Southeast Asian fursuiter pool, MYFur and FURUM are deliberately running on shared infrastructure.
Explicit family-friendly policy
MYFurCon publishes an unusually specific SFW framing rather than the generic "all-ages" line most furcons use. The FAQ bans "nudity, sexual themes, and fetish wear (such as spandex / latex, pup masks, and harnesses)" by name. Government-issued ID is required at badge pickup, badge sharing triggers confiscation and ejection without refund, and ticket transfers, resales, or cancellations are not permitted even when Ticket2U technically allows them. Under-18 attendees need a signed Parent Guardian Consent Form emailed to MYFur in advance alongside the Ticket2U receipt; under-15s additionally must be accompanied on-site.
