ThaiTails 2026 ran March 21-22 at the Vayupak Convention Centre at Centara Life Government Complex with the Stargazer theme and Pon (Jippo) as Guest of Honor. Official pages remain focused on event information and rosters; no final attendance or charity total has been published yet.
ThaiTails 2025 drew 1,295 attendees, crossing the 1,000-attendee mark for the first time. The event raised 317,550 THB for the Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand, with Nviek5 as Guest of Honor.

Star-traveller tier names ladder up across a 10-year cosmology
ThaiTails' 2026 ticket tiers aren't labelled Bronze/Silver/Gold, they run Traveler → Pathfinder → Starchaser → Trailblazer, a coherent star-wandering arc ("for those who wander → who seek → who yearn → who lead"). The names sit inside the 10-year 'Astrael' fictional-realm lore (three houses, the Great Pyramid, an Ira meta-currency every attendee earns through quests), and the tier you buy gates your access to it: the House Selection portal opens at Pathfinder (฿2,890) and above, with base Traveler attendees getting selection later. Trailblazer (฿12,490) caps at 30 slots only, includes the VIP lounge plus Astral Afterlight after-party, and is the rare SEA furcon tier that operationally signals "sponsorship commitment" rather than "premium ticket." The tier ladder doubles as a gameplay-progression gate: what you pay decides when you can enter the house meta-game, not just what you get in the badge pack.
Tier-discriminating refund ladder with international banking pipeline
Most Southeast Asian furcons publish a binary refund-or-not line. ThaiTails ships a three-track refund ladder that discriminates by tier and gives attendees a non-cash exit: until 14 March 2026 (one week pre-con) every tier can choose either a 75% cash refund or a 100% credit coupon that rolls forward to next year's ticket of the same tier; after the cutoff both paths close. The Honor Sponsor 'Trailblazer' tier is permanently excluded from both, it's flagged in the policy as non-refundable and non-convertible. Disbursements flow through Thai bank, PayPal, or Wise (the multi-country money-transfer service - acknowledging the international attendee mix), with a disclosed 15-30 business-day processing window. Dealer's Den booth fees are non-refundable under all circumstances. The Conbook + custom-badge pipeline keeps running post-event for paid attendees who can't travel, which is why the registration portal stays open after the actual con date.
Sat-Mon-only hotel block forces 1km TK Palace overflow on Fridays
Most 2-day cons treat the host hotel as a Friday-through-Sunday given. ThaiTails 2026 doesn't get that option: the Centara Life main block at the Vayupak Convention Centre is Saturday-Monday only at ฿2,400/night because the hotel wouldn't release Friday rooms for a 2-day con. That punts Friday-night arrivals to the TK Palace overflow block, ฿2,200/night, Friday-Monday, 1 km away with a shuttle stop, on a multi-round lottery system rather than first-come booking. The programming itself runs in theme-named rooms (Starlight Stage for the Talent Show, Crescent Circles for panels, Traveler Plaza for the Dealers Den, Nebula Night DJ Party, Astral Afterlight After Party), and the Astral Afterlight is a ฿1,200 add-on with food and soft drinks supplied, BYO drinks permitted in-room.
