Furry Tea Party is nothing short of a massive, open-air phenomenon! Held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, it completely shatters the traditional hotel-convention model. This event is a widely celebrated, government-supported public festival that actively bridges the gap between the furry fandom and the general public.
Instead of hiding away in a convention center, Furry Tea Party utilizes the gorgeous public spaces around the Kaohsiung Public Main Library. This creates an incredibly relaxed, photography-focused environment with amazing natural lighting. The event is so deeply integrated into the city that attendees can even ride the Kaohsiung Metro in full fursuit!
Scheduled for February 27 to March 1, 2026, the convention will lean into its "Feast of the Hunter" theme. Expect a sprawling setup featuring giant outdoor markets, art galleries, performances, and public concerts.
The scale of this event is difficult to overstate. Drawing thousands of attendees from dozens of countries, it is the only government-supported furry convention in Taiwan—even boasting opening ceremony appearances from the Mayor of Kaohsiung!
