Furrymosa launched on May 27, 2017, at the Sanchong Sports Center in New Taipei City. Named after the Portuguese "Ilha Formosa" (Beautiful Island), it established itself as Taiwan's premier one-day kemono art marketplace. The event is co-organized by the Furrymosa Executive Group, GJ Studio, and Infurnity. Editions 2 and 3 followed in June 2018 and June 2019 at the same venue, with growing dealer circle counts each year.

A Kemoket-modelled doujinshi fair, where buying ahead costs more than the door
Furrymosa deliberately mirrors Japan's Kemoket doujinshi-convention format rather than the Western hotel-scale con: a single-day fair in one room of roughly 150 vendor circles, with no badges and no sponsor ladder. Its pricing inverts the usual convention habit. For the 2026 edition the convention charged 250 NTD in advance and 200 NTD at the door, because the advance ticket is not a discount but a queue position: advance holders enter from 10:30, door buyers only from 11:00 once that queue has gone in, and advance holders also get a limited commemorative programme. Paying less means waiting longer.
Same Sanchong hall every year since 2017, run by an event-marketing company
Furrymosa has rebooked the Sanchong Sports Center first-floor exhibition hall every edition since its May 27, 2017 debut, with no venue change across eight editions. The same operator, GJ Studio (Gizit Integration Marketing Co.), books the hall for multiple ONLY-themed doujinshi fairs across the year, so Furrymosa inherits a predictable venue and operations playbook rather than running its own logistics from scratch.
