OFFF 2024 moved to ATC Hall (Asia Pacific Trade Center) for its May 18-19 run, drawing 1,631 attendees and 772 fursuiters, a fursuit ratio of 47%. The shift from the Hotel Fukuracia hotel ballroom to an exhibition hall format marked a major expansion, more than tripling attendance from the previous edition.
Held July 15-16 at Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay, OFFF 2023 brought together 542 attendees and 331 fursuiters (61%), resuming the event after a multi-year pandemic hiatus.
The originally scheduled 2020 edition was cancelled due to COVID-19. No subsequent editions ran in 2021 or 2022 either; OFFF returned in summer 2023 at Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay, marking a three-year break before the post-pandemic relaunch.
The first OFFF ran September 22-23, 2019 at Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay with 612 attendees, launching the Kansai region's furry community calendar as an alternative to Tokyo-centric events.

Cooler Sponsor: ¥30,000 to put your name on the venue spot coolers
Most furcon sponsor tiers buy merch and recognition. OFFF runs a parallel ¥30,000 "Cooler Sponsor" tier whose distinguishing perk is literally sponsoring the venue's cooling equipment, your name is displayed on the spot coolers inside INTEX Osaka, a meaningful nod for an early-August event in Osaka's bay-side exhibition halls. The tier is independently stackable with the standard ¥14,000 Sponsor add-on (you can be both), and neither tier includes base admission, both are pure add-ons that sit on top of the regular ¥8,000 2-day pass. OFFF ties its top sponsor uplift to physical venue-comfort infrastructure on the show floor rather than to merch or seating.
From hotel ballroom to mega exhibition: three venue classes in four editions
OFFF has moved venue every active edition since founding. The 2019 inaugural and the 2023 post-pandemic restart both ran at Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay (612 → 542 attendees, hotel ballroom format). 2024 jumped to ATC Hall at the Asia Pacific Trade Center and nearly tripled attendance to 1,631 with 772 fursuiters (a 47% suiter ratio), forcing the move out of hotel ballrooms entirely. 2026 scales up a third time to INTEX Osaka - the Kansai region's mega exhibition centre in Suminoe-ku, which also hosts G20 summits and Comic City Osaka. INTEX sits in the Osaka Bay area and is reachable in 20 minutes from Umeda/Honmachi/Namba on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line via Cosmosquare, or about 50 minutes by limousine bus from Kansai International Airport.
Mandatory ¥1,000 Changing Room ticket gates fursuit participation
Every fursuiter at OFFF must purchase a ¥1,000 Changing Room ticket on top of their regular admission, and they must complete advance registration to do so. Walk-in fursuit participation is not permitted under any circumstance, a deliberate cap on day-of suiter density at the INTEX Osaka floor. The mechanic is structurally distinct from the Western default of free fursuit changing space bundled into the badge, and it dovetails with the ¥30,000 Cooler Sponsor tier (whose name lands on the venue cooling equipment for the August Osaka Bay heat). OFFF 2024 hit 772 fursuiters at a 47% suiter ratio with this gate in place, so the pre-registration requirement is enforced at scale, not just on paper.
