Furciety is a residential furry convention at the Salvador-Allende-Haus in Oer-Erkenschwick, in the district of Recklinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is run by the Furciety e.V. association, which describes itself as a home for furry conventions and meets in western Germany, and it puts the whole weekend under one roof: your room, your meals, the stage shows, the dances and a campfire outside.
Furciety 2027 runs from 28 April to 2 May 2027 under the theme "Auf hoher See" ("On the high seas"), again at the Salvador-Allende-Haus. The organisers have not published prices or a registration date yet, and the homepage simply promises more information soon. For the last two editions registration opened in October, the previous autumn, on the convention's own registration platform, and the 2025 edition was booked out within three days. If you want a room for 2027, follow the official website and the Furciety Bluesky account for the registration announcement.
Furciety is a convention where the venue does most of the work for you. You book a room rather than a badge: the price covers your bed, breakfast, a full evening meal and the convention itself, and the house has 213 beds, 14 function rooms and a stage, so nobody commutes between a hotel and a convention centre. Each edition is built around a story told across the weekend in the opening and closing shows, and in 2026 that story fed into three themed contests where attendees competed in puzzles, skill games and duels on a bucking bull. The building sits at the edge of the Haard, a 55 km² nature park of forest, which gives you quiet walks and fursuit photo spots a few steps from the door, and the grounds are far enough from neighbours for campfires to run late into the night. It suits people who like a story-driven convention with a close community feel, and who are happy with shared rooms in an educational centre rather than a hotel.
The Salvador-Allende-Haus is at Haardgrenzweg 77, 45739 Oer-Erkenschwick, on the edge of town. The nearest railway station is Recklinghausen; from there, bus line 231 takes about 15 minutes to the "Maritimo" stop, which is the closest to the house. If you drive, there is a limited number of free parking spaces at the house, some of which may be reserved for staff, plus a separate area for stopping and unloading. More free parking is available about 700 metres away at the Stimbergpark, and the house has two paid charging points for electric cars that you may use while charging. Check-in opens on the Wednesday from 16:00, and you have to check out by 12:00 on the Sunday. The house is not barrier-free: the stage and the panel rooms can only be reached by stairs, so the organisers ask anyone with limited mobility to contact them before registering.
Curated stays near Salvador-Allende-Haus, Oer-Erkenschwick, Germany.
You stay in the convention venue itself. The Salvador-Allende-Haus is an educational centre built in 1975, and Furciety sells its rooms in several sizes during registration, with the price of the room including catering, lodging and the convention fee. You can name friends you would like to share with when you register, and the organisers try to place you together. Every room type has a lockable entrance door with two keys and a lockable bathroom. Bed linen is provided, but you make and strip your own bed, and you need to bring your own towels. As an education facility, the rooms have no television or other entertainment electronics. Rooms are limited and demand at registration is high, so decide on your room type and roommates before registration opens. In its first year Furciety also sold a no-overnight option that covered the full programme without a bed or breakfast, but the organisers have not said whether that option will return. The convention names no partner hotels, so if you do not get a room, any other lodging and transport to the house is up to you.
A year-by-year record of this convention

Furciety 2026 ran from 29 April to 3 May 2026 under the theme "Duell der Götter" (Duel of the Gods). Its story followed the young god Dimeios on an island where future gods are trained, in the days before his final exam. The weekend offered stage shows, three themed trials, the Furciety Dance, a Dealer's Den and a Charity Sale, and registration had opened on 19 October 2025.
The second Furciety ran from 7 to 11 May 2025 under the mining theme "Glück auf!", the traditional German miners' greeting. Attendees were recruited into a fictional mining company and the story went underground. Registration opened on 20 October 2024, and three days later the organisers announced that the convention was completely booked out.
Furciety's debut convention ran from 25 to 28 April 2024 at the Salvador-Allende-Haus. Its story followed two city dwellers, Milo and Elliot, on a treasure hunt deep into the Haard forest, with breakfast and dinner included for everyone staying in the house. The programme announced in advance included two big dance nights, campfire evenings, a live rock concert by fursuiters and volleyball with a giant inflatable ball for fursuiters.
