DenFur has announced Video Games as the theme of its next edition, at the top of its own history page. It has not announced dates yet, and registration is not open: the registration page says only that information is coming soon. The last five editions all ran over a late-August weekend at the Sheraton Denver Downtown, but nothing about 2027's weekend or venue is confirmed.
Because Denver sits one mile above sea level (5,280 feet), standard convention pacing should be adjusted:

Child badge for ages 5-13
Weekend pre-registration at $80 closed on August 13, 2026. The official registration page currently lists a $90 weekend walk-in badge, $60 Friday, $70 Saturday, and $50 Sunday. Sponsor and Patron registration closed earlier in the cycle. Babies ages 0-4 are free, and ages 14-17 require a regular badge plus a signed parent or guardian waiver.
Denfur 2026 drew 6,239 attendees to the Sheraton Denver Downtown over August 28-30, a record and a 41% rise on 2025. Its dark-circus theme sold out the convention's merchandise run, and the Saturday charity auction and fursuit head raffle helped raise $38,384 for Almost Home Adoptions, up 72% on the previous year. Guests of honour were AnthroAesthetic and Laura Garabedian.
Denfur 2025 reached a record 4,428 attendees in Denver. The convention raised over $22,000 for Almost Home Adoptions, celebrating its successful continued growth.

The 5,280-ft altitude warning DenFur publishes
Few furry conventions issue a formal altitude advisory. DenFur is one of them. The Sheraton Denver Downtown sits at the city's namesake mile-high elevation (5,280 ft / 1,609 m), and DenFur's own programming pages flag three concrete adjustments attendees should make.
Almost Home Adoptions, the recurring DenFur charity partner
Many large cons rotate charity partners every year. DenFur instead built a multi-year relationship with Almost Home (cat rescue & adoption): the 2024 con raised $15,681 for them, the 2025 edition raised $22,357, and the record 2026 edition raised $38,384, a charity total that has grown every year alongside attendance.
One nonprofit, four conventions: learn one, you know them all
DenFur is not a standalone LLC. It's one of four conventions operated by Anthro Events Inc (AEI), a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit, alongside AquatiFur, Golden State Fur Con, and Painted Desert Fur Con. All four run the same registration flow, tier names, and policy set, so if you have done one AEI con you already know how to sign up for the other three.
