The Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) is the nearest airport, roughly a 10-minute cab ride ($16 USD) from the Crowne Plaza. Shuttle services also run between the airport and the hotel. Albuquerque sits at the junction of I-40 and I-25, making it straightforward to reach by car from anywhere in the Southwest. The Sunport receives direct flights from most major US hubs, including Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.
The Alvarado Transportation Center downtown provides Amtrak service on the Southwest Chief route (connecting Chicago and Los Angeles) and Greyhound bus connections. From the station, the hotel is a short rideshare trip south along University Boulevard.

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
Born from the ABQ Fursuit Group, not a corporate parent
ANM grew directly out of the ABQ Fursuit Group, a local Albuquerque meet that "started with just three locals", grew its Telegram from 50 to 300+ members in a single month, and revived "a dead community with their biweekly Furmeets." Three months after reviving the local scene the same people began building ANM, the convention is operationally downstream of an active biweekly meet group, not the other way around.
Wuellas FurFest (Chile) multilateral partnership across four continents
ANM has formally partnered with Wuellas FurFest (WUFF), an independent Chilean art and convention project. The wording goes further than a cross-promotion deal: "the partnership will allow the two organizations to share promotional materials, launch joint creative projects, and model how fan-run conventions can work across borders."
Two-cause charity: wolf sanctuary + emergency Save Indigo Mountain
The headline charity is Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary (WSWS), a 501(c)(3) wolf/wolfdog sanctuary in Candy Kitchen, NM, a tiny unincorporated community ~150 miles west of Albuquerque adjacent to the Zuni Mountains. WSWS rescues "displaced, unwanted, and non-releasable captive-bred wolves, wolfdogs, and other wild canid species" and does not adopt out, every animal stays for permanent sanctuary care.
