Spooktacufur is an all-ages, single-day Halloween furry convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, billed as "Utah's Halloween Mini-Con." It packs a full day of con programming, dealers, panels, a fursuit parade, and a Guest of Honor, into late October each year.
Spooktacufur runs Saturday, October 24, 2026 (12pm-8pm) at a new downtown home, the Hilton Salt Lake City Center (255 South West Temple), under the theme Hotel of Horror. General admission is $20 with a $30 Sponsor tier, and Hannimations headlines as Guest of Honor. Badges come in three timed 5pm drops, 160 Sponsor-tier tickets on August 15, 140 on September 19 and 200 on October 1, with no at-door sales at all, and the Sponsor drop sold out, so plan to grab one early.
Spooktacufur proves a convention doesn't need a whole weekend to deliver. In one Halloween-season day it fits an artist alley, fursuit parade, panels, and a guest of honor, all at an accessible price and explicitly all-ages. Its charity streak is a highlight too, pairing a silent art auction with a food drive. For Utah and Mountain West furries, it's an easy, festive, low-commitment day out, and a friendly entry point for first-timers and families.

Spooktacufur 2025 ran on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from noon to 8pm at the Embassy Suites in West Valley City, billing its theme as a "massive Pumpkin Patch Party at the Pumpkin Bash." Pre-registration sold out, and a limited number of door tickets went on sale at $15. The convention has moved venues each year, relocating to the downtown Hilton Salt Lake City Center for 2026.
