Spooktacufur is an all-ages, single-day Halloween furry convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, billed as "Utah's Halloween Mini-Con." It packs a full day of con programming, dealers, panels, a fursuit parade, and a Guest of Honor, into late October each year.
Spooktacufur has not announced its 2027 date, venue or theme yet. The convention says admission will be pre-registration only from now on, with no tickets sold at the door, and its 2026 badges sold out before the event. Watch its Bluesky account and Telegram channel so you do not miss the ticket drops.
Spooktacufur proves a convention doesn't need a whole weekend to deliver. In one Halloween-season day it fits an artist alley, fursuit parade, panels, and a guest of honor, all at an accessible price and explicitly all-ages. Its charity streak is a highlight too, pairing a silent art auction with a food drive. For Utah and Mountain West furries, it's an easy, festive, low-commitment day out, and a friendly entry point for first-timers and families.

By air: Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) connects downtown via the TRAX light rail.
By transit: The 2026 venue, the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, is downtown on West Temple, within easy reach of TRAX light rail and local buses.
By car: Downtown Salt Lake City is reached via I-15 and I-80; the 2026 venue had paid parking, and Sponsor tickets included parking validation.

Both tiers are sold out on the official ticket page. Admission is pre-registration only, so no tickets will be sold at the door. Children under 10 attend free with their accompanying adult. A per-ticket fee is added at checkout.
Spooktacufur 2026 ran on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from noon to 8pm at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center (255 South West Temple), under the theme Hotel of Horror, with Hannimations as its first Guest of Honor. General admission was $20 with a $30 Sponsor tier, released in three timed drops of 160, 140 and 200 tickets, and both tiers sold out before the day. The convention thanked attendees for "an amazing year" the next day.
Spooktacufur 2025 ran on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from noon to 8pm at the Embassy Suites in West Valley City, billing its theme as a "massive Pumpkin Patch Party at the Pumpkin Bash." Pre-registration sold out, and a limited number of door tickets went on sale at $15. The convention has moved venues each year, relocating to the downtown Hilton Salt Lake City Center for 2026.
