Las Vegas Howlfest

Las Vegas Howlfest is a 21+ furry convention held at the Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas, running for the first time from 21 to 24 October 2027. It is the Halloween-season counterpart to Las Vegas Fur Con, run by the same Nevada nonprofit, at the same hotel, in the same format: the convention takes over the entire property, so every room belongs to an attendee.

2027: The Inaugural Howlfest

The first Howlfest runs across four days in late October, with registration already open and priced from $85. No theme, guest of honour or charity partner has been announced yet, which is normal this far out.

What is already fixed is the shape of the thing. It is 21+ throughout, it buys out all 496 rooms at the Alexis Park, and it leans on the Halloween season for a different character to the spring convention it grew from.

How Do I Get to Las Vegas Howlfest?

The Alexis Park sits at 375 East Harmon Avenue, just east of the Strip and close to the UNLV campus.

• Flying: Harry Reid International Airport is a short drive, and is the arrival point for almost everyone travelling in.
• On the ground: the resort is a few minutes from the Strip without being on it, so the surrounding blocks are quieter than a Strip-front hotel while the casinos stay within easy reach.
• Parking: the hotel is laid out in two-storey blocks with parking alongside them, so a car is straightforward if you are driving in.

Where Should I Stay for Las Vegas Howlfest?

Stay at the Alexis Park. The convention buys out the whole hotel, so the room block is not one option among several, it is the event.

• Every room is a suite, at least 450 square feet, and most split the living and sleeping areas with a door between them. Almost all have a pullout bed, so even a king suite can host friends.
• Rooms have a fridge and a microwave, and there is a self-service laundrette on site, which makes a carry-on-only trip realistic.
• Booking order is set by registration tier. Silver State Sponsors pick rooms first, Super Sponsors get early access to the block, and some of every room type is deliberately held back so ordinary attendees still get a fair shot at the hotel.
• The layout is the point. Two-storey blocks with outdoor walkways open onto courtyards and green space, which is what makes the LVFC format work and what Howlfest is built to repeat.
