Monument Square Menagerie: a city-permitted public fursuit meetup
Furcationland runs the Monument Square Menagerie, a Sunday-afternoon city-permitted public meetup at Monument Square in downtown Portland, a quarter-mile from the hotel. Holiday Inn is across the street from the Portland Museum of Art
The hotel page opens with "The hotel is across the street from the Portland Museum of Art", the 88 Spring Street address sits on the western edge of Portland''s downtown arts-district block. The con block bundles $174 standard / $194 corner-premium nightly rates plus an underground brick-driveway garage ($15/night, parking added automatically to room bill, limited to Holiday Inn guests).
Dress code written to comply with the Maine Municipal Code
Furcationland''s Code of Conduct and dress policy explicitly anchor the dress code to "the Maine Municipal Code regarding public nudity and safety requirements," stating "Nudity is strictly forbidden by local and state laws of Maine" and enumerating concrete coverage rules (butt, genitals, nipples, bottom/sides/front of breast tissue, underwear, bottoms of feet) plus a ban on skin-coloured fabric or non-opaque clothing that gives "an illusion of nudity."
