German Fur Dance

German Fur Dance

The German Fur Dance is a New Year's Eve furry celebration in the rural town of Gruibingen, Baden-Wurttemberg. Brand new in 2025, it offers a cozy alternative to the club-style furdances: an all-inclusive evening with DJ sets, karaoke, games, and midnight fireworks at a rustic venue.

What to Expect

Doors open at 6 PM. The evening includes DJ performances, karaoke, games, and activities leading up to midnight fireworks. The all-inclusive ticket covers all food and drinks for the entire night, with vegan options available. The published schedule opens with a welcome lounge at 6 PM, moves through DJ sets to fireworks at midnight, then karaoke and open decks after midnight. The organizers' participation terms say the event ends at 3 AM. SFW content policy applies.

The venue, Glemmer Scheuer, is a cozy rural hall. The atmosphere is more intimate than the large-scale furdances in Nuremberg or Hamm.

How to Get Tickets

Registration for GFD2 is open at events.germanfurs.net, and you must register in advance because only registered guests are admitted. The registration page lists the all-inclusive ticket at EUR 50 and caps the event at 50 attendees. The organizers' terms say the contribution is not refundable.

How to Get There

Glemmer Scheuer is at Boller Strasse 4, 73344 Gruibingen. Public transport to Gruibingen is very limited. A car is strongly recommended. The venue is roughly 60 km southeast of Stuttgart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the German Fur Dance a traditional furdance?

It is a furry dance event, but the New Year's Eve format (karaoke, games, midnight fireworks) makes it more of a furry party than a pure dance night.

What is included in the EUR 50 ticket?

All food and drinks for the entire evening, including vegan options. No additional purchases needed.

Do I need a car?

Effectively yes. Gruibingen has minimal public transport connections, especially on New Year's Eve.
